A fire started north of Kaycee around 1pm Wednesday in a subdivision on North Fork Road and Tagtow Lane. The fire was burning in an area with several different types of structures.

County voters who cast absentee ballots in this year's primary elections are finding a couple of differences from years past.

As Sheridan Media reported earlier this week, Sheridan County commissioners have approved a conditional use permit that wll allow construction of an education center at the Brinton Museum. Sheridan Media reporter Pat Blair has more on this project.

UPDATE - A grass fire on the south branch of Dry Creek burned 25 acres of state land Wednesday night, according to Bob Williams, chief of the Goose Valley Fire Department.

Longmire Days will bring bunches of people from all over the U.S. and one of the reasons why, is the variety of different events that include the actors of the show. One of these events is the Motorcycle Poker Run that will include a couple of riders from the show.

WYO Rodeo Week officially starts with the Boot Kick-Off on Tuesday. Black Tooth Brewery will make sure that the week is started right as they will host an after party. Jesse Woods, General Manager of Black Tooth.

Woods says that the event will start at 7pm.

Get your beds ready because the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Bed Races are going to be tearing up Sheridan’s main street next week. The races will be held on Friday July 15th at 9am.
