Officials with the Bighorn National Forest have announced that over the next couple of months, forest managers will be hiring for temporary, seasonal positions in a variety of specialized areas.

Ten Sheridan County officials took the oaths of office Monday morning in the district courtroom of Judge John J. Fenn.

Sheridan County has spent nearly $70,000 on snow removal so far this winter.

In his Inaugural Address this morning at the Civic Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming Governor Matt Mead thanked the citizens of the state for doing what he called, “their part,” because the state is strong.

On January 5, 2015, an arrest warrant was served to Kyle Logan Fearnow, age 26 of Sheridan, for his involvement in the May 30, 2014 burglary of Hospital Pharmacy at 1 S. Main Street.

Larry Cady, the transportation director at the St. Labre Catholic School in Ashland, Montana, called in this afternoon to give us a first-hand report of how the winter weather has forced the closing of schools both today and tomorrow there and at Pretty Eagle Catholic Academy and St. Charles Mission School at Pryor.

The governor of the state of Wyoming – Gov. Matt Mead – presented his Inaugural Address during this morning's swearing-in ceremony at the Civic Center in Cheyenne.

Hannah Terry will be sentenced in district court next month after pleading guilty to aggravated homicide by vehicle and driving while under the influence of a controlled substance.
