The Sarpy Hills Fire Complex in southeastern Montana has merged into one large fire.

It was a busy week for Yellowstone Park Rangers as three accidents in the park resulted in one fatality and significant injuries to others. Carl Dullmaier of Germany, sustained a head injury after being thrown from a horse near Tower Junction.

"American Idol" will be holding auditions in Casper next week as part of its "Small Town Audition Bus Tour".

The event will be held Wednesday at the front of the Fort Caspar Museum.

The Big West Arts Festival kicks off today in the heart of the Sheridan College Campus.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Authorities have lifted an evacuation order and reopened roads that had been closed due to a wildfire threatening the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation.

Firefighters are on the scene of a wildfire burning about 11 miles northeast of Hyattville in the Bighorn National Forest. According to a media release from the Bighorn National Forest, the Black Butte Fire was reported late last night and has burned about 11 acres.

The Rosebud Complex in southeastern Montana continues to grow rapidly, as the six fires that make up the complex are now estimated at over 131,000 acres with 0 percent containment. The six different fires are located anywhere from four to thirty miles south of Rosebud, Montana.
