Norton Point Fire North of Dubois Brings Smoke to Sheridan Area

A lightning caused fire some 300-miles away from Sheridan County filled the sky with smoke over the Big Horn Mountains Monday night. The Norton Point fire is burning in the in the Washakie Wilderness area about 24-miles north of Dubois.

New Fairgrounds Traffic Plan and Contestant Parking Drawing Some Opposition

Last September the traffic pattern at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds was altered to route vehicles to the west side of the Fairgrounds with the goal of keeping traffic away from contestants and pedestrians. Part of that new traffic pattern also meant changes to contestant parking areas.
