Parents in Sheridan County School District 1 will have a chance to comment on the district's proposed calendar for the 2014/15 school year in the coming weeks.

A group of students at Sheridan High School are working together to bring about positive changes.

Sheridan area residents and visitors can ride the Sheridan trolley, take an old-fashioned hay ride and get a head start on their Christmas shopping on Friday, Nov. 29, during the annual Christmas Stroll downtown.

Sheridan County School District 2 is seeking a state law this week authorizing intervention by law enforcement in cases of cyberbullying.

Longtime director of the Children, Horses and Adults in Partnership program Sue Suddith has taken a position in Jackson, Wyoming, to work for a program similar to CHAPS. New Executive Director Amber Roberson says that she's no stranger to the non-profit.

The local food pantry in Sheridan is in need of donations.

Clearmont town council members will give first reading to a flood prevention ordinance and second reading to an ordinance setting utility rates when they meet tonight, Monday, Nov. 18.

Ranchester's Town Council will give second-reading consideration to an ordinance setting limits to bars serving food to minors at this week's meeting. The session will start at 6:30 Tuesday night at Town Hall.
