Everyone escaped injury Friday night and a home was saved due to quick work by local firefighters.

Revenues are up and expenses are down at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital, compared to the same time last year.

An early winter storm dropped into Idaho overnight Thursday to Friday and rotated through Wyoming leaving about a foot of snow covering the foothills of the Big Horns of the Rocky Mountains.

Sheridan College in Johnson County will host an Artist Reception for two area photographers tonight at the campus on South Main Street.

The featured artists will be Stacy Ellenwood and Diana Volk, whose work will be on display during the event.

Winter will soon be settling in, which will present a whole new possibility of dangerous situations for our pets. Aside from the obvious cold temperatures and exposure to those conditions, our pets can get into a number of predicaments during the winter, that can at times be life threatening.

Wolf hunting seasons have begun in the northwest part of the state.

Hunting seasons in each wolf hunt area began October 1 and will end December 31, except for Hunt Area 12 south of Jackson, which opens October 15 and closes December 31.

The historic trolley that is located next to the Sheridan County Museum is in need of renovations, and the Sheridan County Historical Society is looking for help from the community to store the trolley over the winter.
