Several holiday bazaars and sales will take place in Sheridan county in the coming weeks to promote local businesses and spread Christmas cheer.

Officials with Sheridan County recently received the latest numbers regarding sales tax revenue.

The Sheridan Model Railroad Association is planning their annual open house this Saturday from 10am to 3pm in the basement of the old Taylor School. The public is invited to stop in and see the small trains running through scenes modeled on the local area and ask questions if you like.

A partnership led by the Northern Wyoming Community College District in Sheridan has received a grant of nearly $5 million from the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Brinton Museum recently announced that its new winter hours will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday with the museum being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

On Thursday, Dec. 1, Sheridan College’s Whitney Center for the Arts will present "Christmas Swing," a program featuring band songs from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and many other Christmas songs arranged by Sheridan College Coordinator of Music and Music Technology, Dr. Christian Erickson.
