Elected officials representing Dayton, Ranchester, Clearmont, Sheridan and Sheridan County met Monday afternoon to discuss renewing the Capital Facilities Tax this November. In 2009, Sheridan County voters passed the Cap Tax with almost 70 percent of the vote in favor of the renewal.
The North Main Association, the City of Sheridan and the Wyoming Department of Transportation will host a public open house on the North Sheridan Interchange Project this Tuesday. The meeting will specifically focus on enhancements from Fort Road to the old Port of Entry.
Tuesday marks “Tax Freedom Day” in Wyoming, meaning workers in the state have now earned enough money to pay this year's federal, state and local taxes. The rest of this year's earnings go into pocket.
