Over the summer Sheridan College Vice President of Academic Affairs Jon Connolly worked with a team of colleagues to determine a better way to gauge whether a student will be successful in college and earn their diploma.

The City of Sheridan solid waste division began a pilot program last year for a piece of equipment known as a lateral grinder, that has been used to grind construction and demolition materials since last November at the City Landfill. The City Council held a work session Wednesday to hear how the grinder pilot program has been working out. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the details.

The Sheridan County School District 1 Board of Trustees Tuesday approved an architect to work on the expansion of Tongue River Elementary School. The trustees approved Plan One, a firm with offices in Wyoming and Idaho, to move forward with the project.

At their meeting Tuesday night, the Sheridan County School District 1 Board of Trustees approved a contract to purchase property surrounding the Big Horn campus.
