The 7th annual “Taste of Sheridan” will take place today at Thorne-Rider Park in Sheridan from 3 to 7. The food tasting festival that is a fundraiser for the North Main Association, features various local restaurants and caterers offering a “taste” of their food.

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Aug. 9, 1915.

UPDATE – The U.S. Forest Service has announced 50 percent containment of the Sheep Creek Fire burning in the Big Horn Mountains west of Dayton.

A public meeting has been called for 6 p.m. Sunday on the Sheep Creek Fire in the Tongue River Canyon west of Dayton.
