Some time around December, employees of Sheridan County School District 1 will receive a Christmas bonus along with their regular paychecks.

Government officials with Sheridan County and the other incorporated municipalities within the county met Thursday night to discuss the optional one-cent sales tax. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the story.

This coming Friday, May 9th , the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum in Buffalo will offer a new temporary exhibit entitled “Untrammeled: 50 Years of the Wilderness Act Through The Viewfinder.”

The exhibit features historic and modern photographs of the Cloud Peak Wilderness area side-by-side to compare the areas 90-plus years apart.
