CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A proposal to end state-mandated early foreign language instruction has stalled. The Legislature's Joint Education Interim Committee failed to sponsor the measure in a 7-7 tie vote recently.

The Buffalo Bill Historical Center's Museum of Natural History is bringing in the new year with 3 wildlife field trips. Sheridan Media's Betsy Love has the details:

Miss Wyoming 2010, Alicia Grove of Rock Springs, was crowned in June at the WYO Theatre in Sheridan. Next Tuesday, she'll be heading to Las Vegas to compete for the Miss America crown. She tells us what she's been doing to prepare.

Christine or “Chris” Lamb is this year's winner of the $1,000 grand prize from the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce Christmas Stroll Button contest. She collected her prize at the Chamber on Wednesday:

A winter storm warning for parts of northeast Wyoming, including the City of Sheridan, is in effect through Friday at 6 am.
