Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 26, 1916.

The 40th Annual Dayton Days will take place this Friday and Saturday. Events will include the Cow Pie Classic, two parades, and a pancake breakfast.

Over the last several months, students have been feeding, prepping, and growing livestock throughout the county in preparation for the 4-H and FFA Livestock Sale ring. On August 8, dozens of animals will be sold to fill stomachs in the community.

After being hospitalized overnight, Dayton Mayor Norman Anderson is at home and reportedly doing good, according to his wife, Jean.
