Ten years of positively impacting the local area, was what board member Margy Taylor of the Sheridan Community Land Trust detailed for state legislators, during the recent Legislative Forum held in Sheridan.

The importance of state grants was the message from Dayton Mayor Norm Anderson during his presentation at Wednesday's Legislative Forum. Anderson said that the town’s budget just isn’t big enough to handle some of the projects that need to be done.

The senior center in Sheridan was a busy place Wednesday.

The children would be nestled among the coats on the stage sleeping, while the parents danced the night away, back in the late 1800s, at the dance hall in Dayton. But the dance floor was unusual because of its bump in the center, and some of the gatherings got pretty rowdy and even painful, for some.
