During the 2012 Wyoming Association of Municipalities Convention, or WAM, held last week in Sheridan, several Community Hero awards were bestowed upon two combined Sheridan groups at a banquet Friday night.

The National Center for Atmospheric Research and its managing organization, the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research , celebrated the halfway mark in construction of the 70 million dollar Supercomputing Center in Cheyenne with a recent media tour.

In and effort to “give young kids something to do,” the Junior Leaders of the Sheridan County 4-H program are hosting a one-day Science Camp later this month.

Beginning Sunday, June 12th, youth from all over Wyoming between the ages of eleven and thirteen will converge on Casper Mountain for the 8th Annual Camp P.O.S.T.C.A.R.D.

The Bighorn Mountain Festival is still a month away, but for those wanting to learn more about the style of music and how to play and perform better, the deadline to get signed up for a kids musicians camp is near.

The Buffalo Community Resource Center will hold its 2nd Annual "Golf for a Cause" event this Saturday at the Buffalo Golf Club. The tournament is a benefit for those battling cancer in the community, to help with expenses involved with treatment.

The City of Sheridan rolled out the red carpet Wednesday night to kick off the start of the four-day Wyoming Association of Municipalities Convention.

An informational meeting was held late Wednesday afternoon at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle to discuss the new Historic Mine Byway coming to Sheridan County the summer of 2012.
