The Northeast Wyoming Sage-Grouse Working Group will hold an open house to gather public comment for their Sage-Grouse Conservation Plan Addendum.

The meeting will be from 11am to 1pm Tuesday, November 5 at the Campbell County Library, located at 2101 4-J Rd in Gillette.

The quota in a second wolf hunt area has been met and will be closed for the remainder of the season.
“Wolf hunt area 5 has reached its quota of 3 wolves,” said Alan Dubberley, Public Information Officer for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.

Lands in southern Johnson County, one 80-acre parcel and two 10-acre parcels, that have apparently been owned by the county for an unknown amount of time, may be offered for sale by the county if approved by the county commissioners.

Tongue River High School juniors Courtney Jolovich and Polina Medianina took the oaths of office as Dayton's newest junior councilors during the town council meeting Monday night. Jolovich is a Dayton resident, and Medianina is an exchange student from Russia.

The shutdown of the Federal Government may be affecting some services, but is having little affect on hunting and other outdoor activities in Wyoming.
