The International Association of Fire Fighters Union Local #276 and the City of Sheridan continued contract negotiations for the upcoming fiscal year during a special City Council meeting Monday. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The Sheridan City Council received some good news Monday from City Solid Waste Superintendent Charles Martineau, who provided the council with an update on the City’s recycling program.

Republican State Senator Dave Kinskey of Sheridan released an announcement Monday afternoon that he intended to run for the District 22 seat for the Wyoming State Senate, which he currently holds, but will be up for grabs during the election later this year.

Nearly a decade’s long tradition, Sunday’s Jackalope Jump featured 15 jumpers plunging into ice cold water in a pool set up in Whitney Plaza. A fundraiser for Special Olympics, organizer Carrie Pilcher said the Jackalope is a statewide event.
