* UPDATED* According to information obtained form the National Weather Service in Riverton, the Cato Fire 13 miles northeast of Buffalo continues to burn in Johnson County, but has now spread into Sheridan County as well.

Sheridan County fire warden, Bill Biastoch, has assigned red flag fire conditions to the area. He said the combination of extreme heat and high winds is contributing to fire danger in the county.

Republican state legislator, senator Bruce Burns of Sheridan, is sponsoring a draft of a bill that would require ATMs to enable consumers to elect to donate to state parks and historic sites.
