At their last meeting, the Buffalo City Council approved Resolution No. 1357, which will allow part-time employees and elected officials the opportunity to participate in the city's health insurance plan.

Johnson County Road and Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer brought an Acceptance Certification to the commissioners for their signatures so he can get that back to WyDOT for them to close the Trabing Road paving project. He also gave an update on where the project now sits.

The Buffalo City Council was updated on maintenance work and other small jobs that will be performed at the City's outdoor pool in the coming weeks to prep for its opening later this spring.

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their last meeting, approved County Attorney Ken DeCock to hire an additional part-time attorney for his office.

The Johnson County Library will host the local Wyoming Reads Event this Tuesday, May 14th at Washington Park by the pool beginning at 10:45am.

This weekend, 110 different youth soccer teams - with players from Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota - battled each other in the Snickers Big Horn Soccer Cup. The event was held in the 21 soccer fields at the Big Horn Equestrian Center. We'll post the results as soon as they become available.

Buffalo's City Council, at their Tuesday meeting, adopted their new Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) for 2013-2018 on a 3-0 vote.

At this week's Johnson County Commissioner's meeting, County Road and Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer asked for pre-approval from the commissioners to award the CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality) Dust Abatement contract when they are opened on May 13th.
