Buffalo will have a number of Veterans Day observances and happenings on Sunday, November 11.

At their meeting this week, the Johnson County Healthcare Center's Board of Trustees got a positive financial report for September and October from Hospital Administrator Sandy Ward.

A federal judge has ruled that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service acted properly in prohibiting the Northern Arapaho Tribe from killing bald eagles for religious purposes on its central Wyoming reservation.

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead announced Friday that Dayton resident Shelley Cundiff will take over as the new Circuit Court Judge in the Fourth Judicial District that makes up Sheridan and Johnson Counties. Cundiff will replace Judge John Sampson, who's announced his retirement at the end of the year. Cundiff says that she takes the position very seriously.

With winter's official entry this weekend, city officials in Sheridan County are reminding citizens to drive with snow compensation in mind. Mayor of Dayton, Bob Wood, said citizens should also park so plows can get through.

The Friends of the Library are hosting their annual silent and live auction fundraiser Saturday night at Sheridan Fulmer Public Library. Executive director, Cameron Duff, said everyone is welcome to purchase tickets at the door.
