The Johnson County Library's expansion project is winding down, and the public Open House to celebrate its completion has been scheduled and the public is invited to attend and see the new facility.

A request for a lot line adjustment variance on an interior lot line was reviewed and discussed by Buffalo's City Council at their regular meeting Tuesday, brought before the council by City Planning Director Lynn Barrett.

Michael Johnson, a former employee at a Buffalo newspaper, was scheduled to make his initial appearance in Johnson County Circuit Court Monday on multiple counts of sexual abuse, drug and child pornography charges, but waived his initial appearance and will now wait for scheduling for his arraignment in District Court.

Buffalo will host the 2016 season-opening event for the Professional Indian Horse Racing Association (PIHRA) this weekend, June 11th and 12th at the Johnson County Fairgrounds.
