Johnson County's Commissioners and the Buffalo City Council each passed a Resolution at their Tuesday meetings, approving the special one-cent tax for the library expansion project for the November General Election ballot.

After polls closed Tuesday, 2, 974 votes were cast at the Johnson County Primary election. The office of county commissioner race was tight with seven locals vying for the position.

Results from the race for mayor in Buffalo during the primary election Tuesday showed that opponent Mike Johnson garnered 63 percent of the vote, while incumbent current mayor Randy Dyess took 31 percent, with the votes being 927 to 457 respectively.

Tucker Ruby has ousted incumbent Ken DeCock as Johnson County's attorney with a victory of 2,167 to 618 votes.

Results for Tuesday’s Primary Election in Sheridan County began rolling in about 40 minutes after the polls closed at 7.
