Wednesday afternoon during the weekly Farmer's Market in Crazy Woman Square will be the final Candidates' Forum for Johnson County voters to meet the candidates for various local and state offices.

Buffalo City Works Director Les Hook gave his report to the city council at their last meeting, saying the NW Water Pipeline Project is roughly 65% complete.
They have laid just over 15,000 feet, or nearly three miles of pipeline that contractors are now working to pressure test.

In her latest report to the city council, Buffalo's Planning Director, Lynn Barrett, said the Lobban Street Grant application deadline is approaching, and explained what will be happening with the Lobban Street Project.

Johnson County's Commissioners have awarded the funds for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (or TANF) Grant for 2014.

Johnson County's Commissioners will have their third meeting of July on Tuesday where they are expected to approve tax corrections with Assessor Cindy Rogers.

Also on the Agenda is a service contract for a Community Juvenile Services Board for Wyoming Family Services.

Buffalo's third annual Longmire Days celebration came to a close Sunday evening with a performance of Adam “the Ferg” Bartley an his jazz band in Crazy Woman Square, the culminating event of many over the previous three days.

The weekly Candidate Forums at the Buffalo Farmer's Market continued last Wednesday with the candidates for city council speaking to the voters in Johnson County.

Buffalo's Building Inspector Toby Rhoades, again discussed grass and weed issues with them, saying he had contacted many landowners about getting their properties mowed and cleaned up.
