The Cowboy Carousel Center in Buffalo will host this weekend's dinner theater production of “Love Letters” which will be performed both Friday and Saturday evenings.

Johnson County's Commissioners decided to allow the Johnson County Family YMCA to use $100,000 in funds the commissioners set aside for use on their proposed expansion project, but the “Y” must wait another week on a decision by the library on whether or not they intend to join the YMCA's upcoming public survey.

The Vision Buffalo Commission (also known as the VBC) hosted a public informational and support meeting on a proposed new dog park for the City of Buffalo at City Hall Tuesday evening.

Buffalo's City Council voted to allow a change in the city's overtime policy at the request of Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder, who brought the request before city leaders to improve coverage by his officers on duty, and to define the working hours and overtime by the staff in dispatch.

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their last meeting, discussed issues with the heating system at the old Kaycee Fire Hall, and eventually tabled further discussions to this week's meeting where they will discuss the matter further.

Kaycee's Library building is in need of repairs or possible replacement, and the Johnson County Commissioners will be looking at what to do with the structure after they approved an assessment on both the building and the soil where it now sits.

Johnson County's Commissioners approved a request from County Attorney Ken DeCock, on behalf of the state, to allow a special prosecuting attorney in an upcoming criminal case to be tried in Johnson County.
