Jim Waller, Johnson County Planner and GIS Manager, gave a presentation to the county commissioners last week, letting them know what he has been working on and what he has accomplished in the last year since he has been on the job.

The Buffalo City Council, at last week's meeting, passed Resolutions 1345, concerning overtime, and 1346, concerning comp time, changing the city's personnel policy for employees of the Buffalo Police Department.

The national average price of gasoline climbed to $3.843 per gallon this week, but five gas stations in Sheridan have set their prices at $3.599. Other prices found around town range all the way up to $3.699.

Seven structures are now lost to a wildfire on Casper Mountain.

The Sheridan Fire-Rescue Department was the scene Tuesday morning of a remembrance ceremony to honor those that were lost in the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001.

The Gilead Fire Incident Command team released the latest information on the fire this morning, and there was very little growth according to the release, even with the expected gusty winds associated with the weather front from yesterday.
