This week, Sheridan Media is taking a look at the issue of exploitation of senior citizens within our community. Mayor, Dave Kinskey, said that like the rest of the nation, Sheridan sees a fair share of abuse of the elderly.

Last week the Johnson County Attorney's Office and County Commissioners exchanged letters between themselves concerning the grant application for OJJPD grant for the county's Diversion and Juvenile Probation programs.

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their last meeting, approved the chair to sign an agreement with Ptolemy Data Systems of Sheridan to provide computer services for the new judicial center.

At their last meeting earlier this month the Buffalo City Council approved Resolution #1344, creating the Petra Minor Subdivision on Airport Road.

The original lot was split into three to allow the sale and seperate ownership of each lot.

Sunday's Sheridan College in Johnson County Rope For Knowledge Scholarship Roping to benefit scholarships for Johnson County students raised $4,700 according to co-organizer Ashlea Redding.
