The three-day Memorial Day Weekend Buffalo Lion's Club Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby wrapped up on Monday, and was a big success again in this, it's 30th year, according to Lion's Club Chairman Keith Neustel.

The reason for this weekend's Holiday, Memorial Day, was observed Monday during the annual Observances held downtown and at Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo.

Buffalo's other major event this weekend, along with the Memorial Day Services and the high school rodeo, was the annual Lake DeSmet Lion's Club Fishing Derby.

The event featured over $50,000 in cash and prizes available to win over the three days of the long weekend.
