The Buffalo City Council voted to forgive liens against the Occidental Hotel property stemming from CDBG grants that were awarded to them a number of years ago for economic development at the property.

At their last meeting thew Buffalo City Council approved a number of catering and open container permit requests.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in Sheridan, Campbell and Cook Counties, which is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected in southeast Montana and north-central Wyoming.

At their Tuesday meeting, the Buffalo City Council accepted a bid to construct a picnic shelter in Washington Park near the outdoor pool.

Sweckard Construction of Laramie gave the lone bid on the project at $47,517.

Coming up on Wednesday, May 29th, the Johnson County Treasurer's Office will be holding a work session on the Property Tax Relief Program offered by the State of Wyoming.

At their meeting Tuesday, the Buffalo City Council passed their 2013-14 appropriations bill, Ordinance No. 1363, on first reading.
