At their meeting Monday night, the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees voted to approve two separate bids, one for property/casualty insurance and the other for a storage building and drainage work at Buffalo High School.

At their last meeting, the Johnson County Commission discussed a number of othe road projects with Road And Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer.

A few items from the last Buffalo City Council Meeting:

City Building Inspector Toby Rhoades reported that he has issued one permit to build a new home and has two other permits pending.
He has also issued five permits for new roofs to existing homes in the city.

The Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees, at their Monday meeting, were given a very preliminary look at the budget for the upcoming 2013-14 fiscal year.

“Buy So We Can Build” is the slogan for Habitat For Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns' Buffalo Chapter. They will be having their annual Habitat Garage Sale this Thursday through Sunday at the Johnson County Fairgrounds to raise money to help build affordable homes in Buffalo.

Buffalo's annual City-wide Cleanup is this week, where all city residents can take advantage of free trips to the landfill to spruce up their properties.

Johnson County Public Health is again offering their monthly Buffalo Women's Forum, beginning with this month's presentation “Can You Be Sure It Is Safe? Safe Food Preservation Methods.”

At their last meeting, the Buffalo City Council approved Resolution No. 1357, which will allow part-time employees and elected officials the opportunity to participate in the city's health insurance plan.
