Officials with the Wyoming Game and Fish Sheridan Region Office have been receiving reports of dead trout in local streams and rivers. Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke says that the hot and dry summer is taking its toll on fish in the area.

This year's Sheridan County Fair drew a bigger crowd than it has in years past. Though the numbers have not been meticulously analyzed, Melissa Sterling, director of the Fair Board, was impressed with this year's turnout.

The Leadership Sheridan County class of 2012 celebrated their graduation at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon Wednesday. Twenty-five new graduates from various businesses around the community were recognized for their successful completion of the nine-month commitment to study community issues.
