The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce's Winter Gathering was this past Saturday evening.
It was a fun event featuring a four-course gourmet meal with a wine pairing, music, prizes and a chance to honor some of the volunteers that have made chamber events possible for a number of years.

The U.S. Forest service is now hiring temporary workers for the spring and summer season in the local area. Susie Douglas made the announcement.

Dentist Dr. Brian Cotant recently gave his report to the Johnson County Board of Health, saying they will continue to perform fluoride treatments in schools.

The Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center is considering a possible policy change to make the campus encompassing the clinic, hospital, and adult care facility as “smoke-free.”

The proposal was brought before the board at this week's meeting by Hospital Administrator Sandy Ward.
