Flood Watch update 7/7/2011

All area streams are well contained within their banks at the present time. The possibililty of any flooding is low. As usual, we will continue to monitor all of the streams for any changes.

FLOOD WATCH

* THE TONGUE RIVER NEAR RANCHESTER IN SHERIDAN COUNTY IN NORTH
CENTRAL WYOMING.

* FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON

* WARM TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEKEND.
THIS WILL CONTINUE TO CREATE HIGH ELEVATION SNOW MELT OVER THE
BIG HORN MOUNTAINS. CHANCES FOR PRECIPITATION WILL ALSO RETURN

Flood Watch update 6/21/2011

All area streams levels are remaining steady at the present time, well below flood level. All streams are constantly being monitored.

Warmer temperatures are forcast for the remainder of the week so the streams are expected to rise but at the present time the National Weather Service does not predict any major flooding.

BEGINNING MONDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS IN SOUTH CENTRAL AND

Flood Watch update

The National Weather Service in Billings is predicting that all area creeks and streams could be close to or at flood stage by Monday morning due to runoff caused by high temperatures on Sunday and Monday.

All people living along our area streams and creeks should monitor the water levels very carefully.

Please check the City of Sheridan's Web site. We have a powerpoint presentation updated every morning showing stream levels, forecasts, and predictions.

The National Weather service advises that area streams will rise possibly Sunday evening into Monday and Tuesday when the temperatures rise into the upper 70's and 80's. How much of a rise with be weather dependent.

Everyone living along any of our area streams should keep a close watch on the water levels as the potential for flooding could increase.
