State 2-A and 4-A Regional Hoops begin today

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys played at Utah state Wednesday night the Aggies beat the Pokes 65-54. The Cowboys end the regular season at home Saturday afternoon against Colorado state.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Cowgirls end their regular season Friday night at CSU the men's and women's Mountain West conference tournament starts next week in Las Vegas.

2-A STATE HOOPS - The Tongue River Lady Eagles and the Big Horn Rams open the state 2-A basketball tournament starting today in Casper.

SC Women's Soccer have successful youth clinic

The Sheridan College Women's Soccer team just finished up a four week clinic with the YMCA.

Coach Stefan said "The clinic was a great start to prepare these kids for there upcoming seasons this spring" he went on to note that "we had over 50 kids participate ranging from 5th through 8th grade."

Each week the players worked on improving and learning various turns and skills along with passing technique.

New SC Volleyball Signee

The Sheridan College volleyball coaching staff was pleased to announce that 3 time state champion Courtney Smith from Ballantine, MT. Courtney has officially signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Generals next fall.

Courtney is a 5’9” middle hitter who can be used anywhere across the net. "I am very excited to add Courtney to our roster next year.

She is very athletic with a heavy swing. She has a good vertical leap and can be utilized in multiple positions for us next year.” Said head coach Jennifer Stadler

Generals fall at region nine / Cowgirls lose at home / Wyoming March Madness begins tomorrow

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals lost 90-79 against Northeastern Colorado Tuesday night eliminating them from the region nine tournament.

NJC will play Gillette college for the title tonight.

UW HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowgirls lost at home against Utah state Tuesday night. They end their regular season Saturday at Colorado state.

Tonight the Pokes play at Utah state live at 7:30 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

2-A STATE HOOPS - The Tongue River Lady Eagles and the Big Horn Rams will represent Sheridan county at the state 2-A basketball tournament starting tomorrow in Casper.

New SC Volleyball Signee

The Sheridan College volleyball coaching staff was pleased to announce that Casey McInerney from Clyde Park, MT has officially joined the Sheridan College Generals for their 2014 roster. McInerney is the fourth player to join the 2014 class as she will join the SC program that will look to build off of this year's 20-16 record.

Casey joins the Generals after a solid high school career where she excelled as a three sport athlete. Casey has earned all-league honors for the past three years in volleyball, track and basketball.

Generals advance at region nine / Cowgirls in action tonight / Regional and State basketball continues Thursday

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals beat Northwest college Monday night to advance in their region nine tournament they play the host team Northeastern Colorado tonight.

The Lady Generals lost in the second round of the women's tournament, they were eliminated by Western Wyoming 64-59.

UW BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball teams have two games left in their regular season tonight the Cowgirls host Utah state we will have the game live on KWYO and 87.7 FM broadcast time is 6:30.

Tomorrow the Pokes play at Utah state live at 7:30 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

Bronc Wrestlers 3rd at state / TR Lady Eagles - Big Horn Rams head to state hoops / SHS hoops off to regionals

STATE WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers finished 3rd with three champions and nine place winners overall.

The three state champs were Braxton Cooper, Hayden Hastings and Cody Delk. Tory Music and Tucker Goss,placed 2nd, Kyle Burton was 3rd, Dane Chambers was 4th, Gage Tyree and Tim Cowan with 5th place finishes.

STATE SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers finished 11th at the state swimming and diving championships.

STATE 2-A BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles and the Big Horn Rams will represent Sheridan county at the state 1-A / 2-A state basketball tournament this week in Casper.

Wrestling, Swimming Done; Basketball Winding Down

Two more winter sports are done for the year after wrestling and boys' swimming had their state tournaments over the weekend.
