SRD summer softball underway / Jets blast Lovell / Troopers host Trooper camp and play at home Saturday

SRD - Adult summer softball leagues through the Sheridan Recreation District are underway for the new season and just about two weeks into the new season Program Coordinator Robbie Spencer says they are off to a good start.

Spencer is leaving Sheridan this week to take on a Rec District Director's job in Tennessee.

Spencer says he's proud of the way he leaves the softball program which has seen tremendous growth over the last three years.

Locker room / Training Facilty Construction underway at Sheridan high school / Rockies fall at Houston / Jets at Lovell today / Trooper baseball camp opens tomorrow

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL - The new locker room and sports training facility construction is well underway at Sheridan high school, AD Don Julian says full completion is set for the fall of 2016.

Part of the fund raising for this project is the selling of new locker sponsorships in the new locker rooms and Julian says they are inching closer to the goal of 250.

Bronc Football fires up OTA's / Troopers home Saturday / Rockies at Houston this afternoon

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team completed their first summer camp in Chadron, Nebraska and Head coach Don Julian says it was a very good week for the 2015 Broncs.

And now we are fully into the off season and Julian says it's just a short eight weeks until the fall football camp opens for the 2015 season.

The Broncs open the season in week one on the road at Laramie, this coming year the Broncs will have five home dates and four road dates during the regular season.

June 14th

Montana sweeps all-star hoops / The North dominates in the Wyoming Shrine Bowl / Rockies win at Florida and open a series in Houston tonight

WYOMING / MONTANA ALL-STAR HOOPS - The Wyoming / Montana high school all-star basketball series concluded in Billings Saturday with both Montana teams winning a sweep of this years games.

In the girls series this year Montana was able to break open two close games at halftime and pull away in the 4th quarter. That was all star Head coach Frank McCarthy.

Next week starting Monday McCarthy and his Sheridan college Lady Generals will be holding their annual youth girls basketball camp, the camp is open to k-12 grades.

Wyoming All-Stars Come Up Short

The Wyoming/Montana All-Star basketball series got underway Friday night at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome at Sheridan College. The Montana girls chalked up their eighth straight victory over Wyoming by a final of 72-54. Montana led by only eight after three quarters, but outscored Wyoming 25-15 in the final quarter.

Wyoming/Montana All-Star Series Begins Tonight

Game one of the Wyoming/Montana High School All-Star Basketball series will be played tonight at the Hoffman Dome at Sheridan College, with the second game set for Saturday night at Rocky Mountain College in Billings.

Wyoming Teams Prepare for All-Star Series

This week, the Wyoming/Montana High School All-Star Basketball series will be played in Sheridan Friday at the Hoffman Dome at Sheridan College, and in Billings on Saturday. Players arrived in Sheridan Wednesday and the two teams held their first practice of the week.

June 10th

Jets Crush Lovell, Troopers Get Set for Tournament

The Sheridan Troopers are off till Friday, where they will play at a tournament in Omaha, Nebraska. The Troopers will open the tournament Friday morning at 10 with a game against Bloomington, Minnesota.

June 9th

Troopers Fall on the Road, Coach McGuire Talks Shrine Bowl

The Sheridan Troopers dropped a pair on the road Monday to the the Billings Royals. Game one of the doubleheader was close, as the Royals won 7-5. The second game the Troopers were completed dominated by the Royals and lost 11-1.
