Bronc / Lady Bronc hoops today / Rams / Eagles host hoop tourney / Pokes win at CSU / Cowgirls lose at home

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams get back on the court to today in Cheyenne.

The Lady Broncs are 4-1 and the Broncs 3-2 heading into the tournament Broncs Head coach Gale Smith talks about what the Broncs need to get done over the next five games before conference play begins.

And Smith says the Broncs have very good depth and they will continue to develop that over the next several games as well.

January 6th

Bronc / Lady Bronc Hoops open tournament play in Cheyenne Thursday / Rams / Eagles host a weekend tournament / Cowboys and Cowgirls face CSU tonight

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams get back on the court to Thursday when they open a three day tournament in Cheyenne.

The Lady Broncs are 5-1 and the Broncs 3-3 heading into the tournament Broncs Head coach Gale Smith says they got some good work done during the holiday break.

And Smith says they'll find out this week how that hard work has paid off.

January 5th

2015 Elks Hoop Shoot Saturday

The 2015 Elks Hoop Shoot will be held this Saturday, Jan. 10, at 10AM at the Hoffman Golden Dome at Sheridan College.

It is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13. Age is determined by their age as of April 1, 2015.

Winners will be determined by who makes the most free throws out of 25 attempts.

The champions from this local contest will move on to the District Hoop Shoot in Casper on January 24. State Hoop Shoot is Feb. 7 in Casper.

Regional in Denver on March 14. National Finals in Springfield, Mass. on April 18. Travel expenses are paid by the Elks.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Broncs will compete at the "Shane Shatto" invitational in Douglas this week Head coach Tyson Shatto says it was tough to miss out on all the matches that were canceled Saturday.

But he says the Broncs worked through that and are back on track this week as they get ready to compete in Douglas.

2015 Winter sports season resumes this week

BRONC WRESTLING - The Border War duals with the Billings schools were canceled Saturday as poor travel conditions did not let the Billings teams get out of town.

This week the Broncs will compete at the "Shane Shatto" invitational in Douglas.

TR / BH BASKETBALL - The Tongue River basketball split non-conference games with Rocky Mountain the Lady Eagles won over to Byron 49-35 while Eagles will lost at home to the Grizzlies 63-50.

January 1st

Bronc wrestlers open 2015 with home duals tonight / TR Hoops tomorrow / UW basketball saturday live double header at 2:00 and 8:00

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers compete at home tonight and tomorrow, they have Wyoming duals tonight and tomorrow they host the Border War duals with the Billings schools.

Broncs Head coach Tyson Shatto says it still early in the season as most of the wrestlers don't have a lot of matches in but this weekend they'll get a good start to the new year.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says wrestling fans will get a chance to see some good action tonight and tomorrow.

Youth Hoop Champs

The Sheridan Bulldogs 6th Grade Girls Basketball Team went undefeated to win the Power to Play Basketball Tournament in Gillette on Sunday, December 21st.

Sheridan College AgriPark Hosts First Community Event

The Sheridan College AgriPark hosted its first community event this past Sunday with a team roping produced by the American Cowboy Team Roping Association (ACTRA).

There were three different ropings in the event. Justin Hammerich was the high money winner, placing four times over the course of the day. Weston Mann posted two of the three fastest times for the day.
