Football playoffs: Eagles look to dethrone Cokeville / Broncs v Evanston / Rams play at Greybull / NSI at LSR

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles are in the 1-A playoffs for the second straight season and like 2014 they will play at Cokeville Friday.

Eagles Head coach John Scott says the players had a very good regular season and won some big games.

And the fact that had to win big games late and faced elimination last week at Pine Bluffs.

And he says for the players it is their hard work that had paid off to get them in this position.

October 25th


HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS - The Sheridan Broncs, Big Horn Rams, Tongue River Eagles and NSI Wolves all made the high school football playoffs all four teams posted victories Friday and have good momentum heading into their first round games. The broncs will play at home Friday while the Rams, Eagles and Wolves will all play on the road.

The Broncs beat Cheyenne South 57-17 to finish the regular season 8-1 Head coach Don Julian says the Broncs took care of business Friday night.

October 24th

Another Friday night sweep for Sheridan county football teams

The Sheridan Broncs,Big Horn,Tongue River and NSI all posted football victories and all are headed to the first round of the playoffs which begin next Friday.

The Wyoming Cowboys play at Boise state tonight you can hear the game live on KWYO and 87.7 FM pregame starts at 7:00.

Bronc football hosts "Military Night" and "Pink Night" for breast cancer awarness tonight

The Sheridan Broncs host Cheyenne South tonight we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO the First Federal pregame show will start at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs are headed to the playoffs and South is 0-8 on the year but Broncs Head coach Don Julian says the Broncs can get a lot out of having a good performance tonight.

October 21st

Broncs Host Bison tomorrow night / Rams and Eagles travel / Wyoming at Boise state Saturday night

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs close out the regular season at home tomorrow night against Cheyenne South we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO the First Federal pregame show will start at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00.

It's "Military night" at the game as well as other activities, here's Broncs Head coach Don Julian.

It's also Senior night for the Broncs tomorrow, Senior's and their families will be honored prior to the game.

Lady Broncs prepare for state swimming / State X-country in Sheridan Saturday / High school football regular season closes Friday

LADY BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will end their season next week at their state meet in Gillette they are coming off a third place finish at their conference meet and Head coach Brent Moore says for the most part they had a good outcome.

This week the tapering process for all the swimmers has begun and Moore says it is all about rest now.

And he says training through next Thursday is all about getting back to the basics.

State X-Country Championships in Sheridan Saturday / High school football regular season finale this week / Pokes at Boise state Saturday night

STATE CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Sheridan high school cross country teams host the all-class state championships Saturday at the Sheridan VA.

Head coach Art Bauers says that both teams had a good regional especially the Broncs who ended up in 2nd place.

They have through Friday to prepare for one race Saturday. And Bauers says the course at the VA and having the meet in Sheridan has made the state meet a great event.

October 18th

Broncs, Rams, Eagles, Wolves, Cowboys and Broncos all post weekend football victories

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs beat Natrona county 49-14 Friday night to lock up the home field advantage throughout the upcoming playoffs.

The Broncs jump on the Mustangs early and led to wire after the victory Head coach Don Julian.

The Broncs have the #2 playoff seed wrapped up with one game to play and Julian says the hard work for the Broncs continues.
