December 7th

LOOKING AHEAD TO ANOTHER GREAT WEEKEND IN LOCAL SPORTS

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams will play games with Buffalo and Riverton this week the Broncs are 1-1 splitting two last week while the Lady Broncs went 2-0 after they won at Billings Skyview Saturday Head coach Derek Bissitt was pleased with the opening weekend and the way the Lady Broncs played defense.

IT WAS A GOOD OPENING WEEKEND FOR WINTER SPORTS

SHERIDAN BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams opened the season winning at home with Green River Friday. The Broncs lost 48-43 against Billings Skyview Saturday while the Lady Broncs went to Billings and won big Head coach Derek Bissitt. Brianna Smith led the Lady Broncs with 24 points, Kayla Woodward had 19.

December 5th

Lady Bison drop top-ranked Jackson

The Buffalo Lady Bison traveled to Cody last weekend for the 3A East/West Tournament hosted by the Cody Fillies.
In their opening game Friday, Buffalo faced off against preseason No.1 Jackson.
The Lady Bison scrapped their way to a 57-44 win, led by Dallas Shaw's 30 points.
In the early game Saturday, Buffalo took on Pinedale, winning in a blowout 62-14.
Their late game on Saturday had the Lady Bison against the host team Cody Fillies, and Buffalo held on for a 55-47 win.
Buffalo starts off the season 3-0 and will host Sheridan Friday night and host Newcastle on Saturday.

Bison Boys open 3-0 at tournament

The Buffalo boys' basketball team hosted the 3A East/West Tournament over the weekend, and swept all three games in the process.

THE BRONC WRESTLERS OPEN THE SEASON WITH A GOOD SHOWING IN POWELL

The Sheridan Bronc Wrestlers opened the 2010-11 season with a 6th place finish a tournament in Powell.

The Bronc's 145 pounder Trevor Goss was the Broncs lone champion and was named the Co-outstanding varsity wrestler for the event.

This coming week the Broncs will be split into JV'S and Varsity and will travel. The JV's will compete at a tournament in Forsyth, Montana while the Varsity head to an invitational in Rapid City.

THE 2010-11 WINTER SPORTS SEASON OPENS TODAY

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams open the season together hosting games with Green River tonight.

Lady Bronc Head coach Derek Bissitt says the players have put in the work the last two weeks and will find out tonight how much that hard work has paid off.

We will broadcast both games live for you the girls tip-off at 5:45 and the boys at 7:30 on both AM 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

Tomorrow the Lady Broncs play at Billings Skyview while the Broncs host the Falcons both varsity games tip off at 4:30.

Bison swimmers eye conference, state

The Bison Boys' Swim Team took the conference title last year and finished second at state to powerhouse Lander, and this year they believe they have the ability to repeat as conference champions and vie for a state title.

December 2nd

THE SHERIDAN COLLEGE GENERALS ARE NOW 8-0 AND RANKED 25TH IN THE COUNTRY.

Generals are ranked #25 this week and will play four straight and home to finish off the first half of the season

GENERALS BASKETBALL - After winning at Western Nebraska Tuesday night and arriving home at 4 am Head coach Steve Smiley gave the players Wednesday off from practice.

He says they had a great day Tuesday and it was a big early season win for the Generals.

And having that national ranking is good for team morale more than anything right now.

The Generals host a tournament this week games times Friday will be at 5:30 and 7:30 and Saturday at 3:00 and 5:00.
