Sheridan's Kayla Woodward in the 2011 series

WYOMING / MONTANA ALL-STAR BASKETBALL - The 37th Wyoming / Montana high school all-star basketball series opens tomorrow night in Sheridan at the Hoffman dome.

Three Sheridan high school players will represent Wyoming in this year's series they are Lady Bronc player Steph Sessions and Bronc's Hunter Reece and Riley Ryan.

Both the men's and women's Wyoming all-star basketball teams began practice Wednesday as they ready to face the Montana all-stars in the annual series Friday and Saturday.

The games in Sheridan will be playede Friday night at 6 and 8 PM in the Hoffman dome at Sheridan college.

Games Saturday will be at Rocky Mtn. college in Billings at 6 and 8 pm.

All four games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO. Broadcast time will be at 5:30 with Trevor Jackson and Rocky Erickson.

Weekend Sports Recap

Sheridan Troopers jumped out to an early lead on Rapid City 320 and captured an 11-1 victory on Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader.
In the Second Game, the Troopers were down six runs in the fifth and recovered thanks to Kalvin Eisenah’s Grand Slam in the seventh, and pulled out a 10 – 7 win over Rapid City 320.


Just a quick note that the 37th Annual Wyoming-Montana All Star Games will be held next Friday at the Hoffman Dome.

This is the longest running rivalry game in the state of Wyoming and should be a great event again this year.

The Sheridan Trooper Baseball Team will play their next three dates on the road before returning to Sheridan for a four day home stand. They open the road trip with two games at Rapid City Post 320 Saturday, then a double header in Powell Sunday, and two in Riverton Tuesday, June 5. Following that trip, they host four straight home double headers starting with Gillette on Friday, June 8; the first game will start at 5:00p.m.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team is working out this week as they ready for their first team football camp of the summer, they will attend the Chadron state team camp next week.

According to Wyoming High School Activities Association rules players must have practices done before attending contact camps.

Nearly 80 players will make the trip with the coaches, when they return from Chadron the University of Wyoming will hold a one day camp in Sheridan on Thursday, June 7th then it's onto off season weight training.


Sheridan college Lady Generals basketball coach Frank McCarthy will host his summer basketball camp for Sheridan county girls June 18th-21st in the Hoffman dome at Sheridan college.

The fee is 100 dollars for the camp,all campers receive not only great basketball fundamental instruction they all get a camp t-shirt and their own basketball.

The camp will run each day from 9:00 to noon.

ALL-STATE SOCCER AWARDS - Eight Bronc and Lady Bronc senior soccer players named 1st team all-state.

For the Lady Broncs Seniors Nicci Kassen, Rickie Ryan and Noelle Golinvaux and for the Broncs Cole Smith, Braydon Drell, Hunter Reece, Gabe Dahmke and Jake Moore.

Four Buffalo Bison soccer players made the 3-A all state 1st team they are Kaleb Rodriquez, Wyatt Witty, Neil Medders, Seth Hostetler and Kade Myers.

All state voting is done by the coaches, coaches nominate their own players but cannot vote for them in the balloting.
