Big Horn Polo results

Here are the results from the Montaylor Ranch Cup held Sunday August 10, 1:00 p.m. at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.

Sheridan Seed Co. defeated Hammer Chevrolet 7-3.

MVP was Drew Luplow for Sheridan Seed Co.

Best Playing Pony was “Candy Crush” played by Hope Arellano.

Local Football Officials needed

The Sheridan officials association is looking for individuals to officiate Jr.High and high school football this fall.

They will be having an organizational meeting Monday, August 18th at the old Highland Park School at 6pm.

It’s a great way to earn a little extra income, get some exercise and stay involved in football.

They will help all officials get registered with the Wyoming High School Activities Association and provide all the training that they need

Bronc football opens fall camp / Full fall sports schedule opens Monday / Broncos at 49ers Sunday / Rockies fall at SD

BRONC FOOTBALL - The football season got underway yesterday for the Sheridan Broncs as two a days began head coach Don Julian says the Broncs had a pretty good day.

He says the days can get long and hot but the players were very excited to get started.

The first game is 18 days away and Julian says things will start happening quick as they end the first week of practice on Saturday

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The football season begins today for the Sheridan Bronc football team as two a days get underway.

The team held their annual player / parent meeting Saturday evening a day after finishing up their two day mountain camp with the seniors, Head coach Don Julian says the mountain camp went well.

He says it was a good chance for the coaches to find out what kind of leadership they can expect from this year's senior class.

August 8th

High School Football begins / Broncos win exhibition opener / Rockies fall at home

BRONC FOOTBALL - The football season begins today for the Sheridan Bronc football team as the coaches and team leaders will start their annual mountain retreat, Head coach Don Julian.

The Broncs coaches, players and their parents will meet tomorrow at 4:00 in the Sheridan high school auditorium.

The first practice is Monday morning at 7:00. The regular season opener is August 29th at home against Laramie.

August 6th

BIG HORN FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams are holding mini camp this week ahead of two a days which begin on the 18th.

Head coach Michael McGuire talks about the timing pf having this camp before two a days open a week from Monday.

And getting a jump start on some of the basics will make the first few days of practice go more smooth.

August 5th

BRONC FOOTBALL - Bronc football opens two a days Monday the rest of our fall sports begin on the 18th and another reminder today about sports physicals for all athletes, that's SHS AD Don Julian.

Tomorrow bronc football seniors and coaches will be in the Big Horn's for their annual one night mountain camp, Julian says it's the kickoff to the new season.

August 4th

Fall sports open Monday / Rockies v Cubs tonight / Broncos Exhibition Thursday

HOFFMAN DAYS - Sheridan college and the Sheridan college foundation hosted Hoffman Days over the weekend honoring Bruce Hoffman for fifty years of service to the college.

Today we conclude our visit with coach Hoffman, during our conversation we talked about the great changes to the college over the last decade and he says the citizens of Sheridan county can be proud of the college and what it means to our local students and families.

Player/Parent meeting Aug 9th at 4 pm in the SHS auditorium

Practice for 10-12 grade at 7 am and 4:30 pm starting Aug 11th

Practice for 9th grade at 7 am starting Aug 11th

All other sports start practice on Aug 18th as follows

Volleyball-Monday the 18th 9 am and 4 pm at SHS gym
Tuesday the 19th -Friday the 22nd practices at 6 am and 4 pm

Cross Country-Monday the 18th 6:30 am at SHS, 4 pm at SJHS swimming pool

Girls Swimming and Diving-Monday the 18th at 7 am at SJHS swimming pool

Holy Name School Golf Tournament results

22 Four person teams participated in the Golf Tournament.

The Tournament raised over $18,000 for Holy Name Catholic School!
