The championship game was between the Rucki and Marshall Cowboys vs. Kilpatrick Creations Dolphins.

The game was tied 0 -0 at the end of regulation.The Dolphins scored a TD in overtime to win 6-0.

The team included:

Eli Johnston, Nate Roe, Jacob Boint, Ethan Lewallen, Matthew Thompson, Nick Summers, Cade Reish, Cole Dobson, Ethan Richett, Kyle Breen, Tate Kelly, Logan Mendenhall, Aeden Baldo, Devlin Sherman, Nolan Rader, Jaden Underwood, and Beknazar Alikulov.

STATE X-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams will finish the season at the state championships in Douglas Saturday.

Sheridan Head coach Art Bauers says the Lady Broncs are looking to have a good day Saturday.

And the Broncs look to be one of the stronger teams in the field.

Bauers says the state meet course in Douglas suits their style of running. Racing begins at 10:00 Saturday morning.

Johnson County Weekend High School Sports Preview

Fall sports seasons are beginning to wrap up and this weekend will feature football's end of the regular season, volleyball's Regional Tournaments, the Conference Meet for swimming and cross country at State.

BRONC / LADY BRONC CROSS COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams will finish the 2012 season at the state championships in Douglas Saturday.

Sheridan Head coach Art Bauers says their runners have done a good job over the last few weeks getting themselves ready for the state meet. Racing gets underway Saturday morning at 10:00.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs will face Cheyenne East Friday night in Sheridan in the regular season finale the broncs will also open the playoffs at home next week,


COACH DON MEYER - Hall of fame college basketball coach Don Meyer is in Sheridan speaking to groups this week, he started last night at Sheridan college speaking to students today he will be speaking to members of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce at the Sheridan Holiday Inn and hold a coaches roundtable discussion this evening.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs got a hard fought 20-10 victory at Kelly Walsh high school Friday night to keep them in the chase for the 3rd playoff seed Head coach
Don Julian.

The Broncs "Big Played" the Trojans three times Kevin Bakkehaug hit Casey Carlton on a 34 yard pass play for the first score, Nate Kane had a 62 yard touchdown run and Daniel Sessions had a 44 yard run for a score in the second half.

Weekend Johnson County High School Sports Wrap

This weekend was busy and productive for Buffalo and Kaycee high school athletes.

The Bison football team traveled to Torrington Friday night and came home with a 42-23 win over the Trailblazers. They are now at 3-4 on the season with their last game looming large Friday at home against Rawlins. If the Bison win, they are in the playoffs and if they lose it could become complicated.

Kaycee' Buckaroos football team beat Tensleep on Saturday 63-53 and clinches a playoff spot in the process. Next up is a game at Midwest on Saturday.

October 13th


BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs are 6-2 as they beat Casper Kelly Walsh Friday night, they led 13-3 at halftime then stretched that lead to 20-3 before holding off Kelly in the 4th quarter.

The Broncs close out the regular season next week at home against Cheyenne East.

BH / TR FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams jumped out to a 42-0 halftime lead and beat Tongue River 49-8. The Rams close out the regular season hosting Newcastle next Friday in a battle of 7-0 teams, the Eagles will close out their season on the road at Wheatland next week.

The mountains are getting white so ski and snowshoe season can’t be far away!

There has been a lot of work on the trails this summer but there is still some more to do if the weather and time allows.

On the last work day, we had a very ambitious crew that moved a lot of large rocks and dirt on the rocky area above the lake on the Dead Horse Trail. We also re-built one log bridge the same day.
