TRMS BASKETBALL CHAMPS

Tongue River Middle School Boys 8th Grade District Champions Beat Bighorn at District Tournament held on their home court on Saturday Feb 26, 2011.

SHERIDAN ICE SKATING

Six Sheridan Ice Figure Skaters skated in the 18th Annual Figure Skating Club of Billings Competition on Friday, February 25 and Saturday, February 26 in Billings, Montana.

Kairstyn Holden (age 9) won 1 first place medal and 2 second place medals in Basic 6 level events.

Katelyn Kayser (age 11) won 3 first place medals and 1 second place medal in Beginner level events.

Jessica Ross (age 13) won 2 first place medals in Basic 5 level events.

Catherine Winnop (age 13) won 3 first place medals in Basic 8 level events.

1-A / 2-A STATE BASKETBALL OPENS THURSDAY IN CASPER

BIG HORN RAMS / LADY RAMS - The Big Horn basketball teams head to state this week as regional tournament champs both have number one seeds as play opens Thursday at 12:00 for the Rams and 6:00 for the Lady Rams.

The Lady Rams had only three regular season losses two to Rocky Mountain and one to Tongue River and Head coach Wayne Hall says the players shook off those losses and have good chemistry going right now after winning the conference tournament.

SHERIDAN YOUTH HOCKEY

Two of Sheridan’s own players won the Bantam division at the Great Western Showcase in Salt Lake City last weekend as members of Team Wyoming Hockey.

They lost their first game to Orange County (California) by a score of 6 to 1.

They also dropped a game to the Utah Regulators by a score of 3 to 2.

They then rallied back to win the next three games by defeating Jackson Hole 5 to 3 and then 5 to 0; and in the championship against Orange County they won in overtime by a score of 2 to 1 to take home the tournament trophy.

Ticket Prices set for the 4-A east regional basketball tournament

These are the ticket prices for this week's 4-A regional basketball tournament at Sheridan high school.

Ticket Prices are set by the Wyoming High School Activities Association

ADULT ALL-SESSIONS PASS-$13.00

STUDENT ALL-SESSIONS PASS-$10.00

Game 1 starts at 4:00 pm on Thursday , 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm

Same schedule on Friday. Saturday starts at 10:00, 11:30, and championship games at 1:00 and 3:30.

THREE ADVANCE TO 2-A STATE BASKETBALL

2-A / 1-A REGIONAL BASKETBALL - The Big Horn basketball teams head to state this week along with the Tongue River Lady Eagles.

The Tongue River Eagles season ended Saturday along with NSI and Arvada/Clearmont.

The Big Horn Lady Rams advanced by beating the Tongue River Lady Eagles in the East regional championship game Saturday in Newcastle.

It was another classic post season game between the two as Big Horn won 39-36. The Lady Rams will have a one seed at the state tournament and will open with Greybull Thursday evening at 6:00.

BHS Athletes Crowned Champions

Athletes from Buffalo High School were crowned Champions in their sports this past weekend, and many others had strong performances at State or in preperation for the post season.

February 27th

2-A State basketball field set / Live Broadcast schedule plus East 4-A regionals

Thursday at the state basketball tournament in Casper the Tongue River Lady Eagles will lead off taking on Wyoming Indian in the first round at 10:30 at Casper college.

The Big Horn Rams follow at noon against Rocky Mountain and the Lady Rams will close out day one coverage playing Greybull at 6::00

All three games will be played at Casper college the Tongue River Lady Eagles and the Big Horn Rams games will be live on AM 14-10 KWYO.

The Big Horn Lady Rams game with Greybull at 6:00 Thursday night will be live on 95.5 FM

February 26th

Broncs Basketball 2-26-11

Broncs win against Cheyenne East 69-56.

The Lady Broncs fall on the road to Cheyenne East 57-54.

Saturday Sports

Both the Sheridan Broncs and Lady Broncs were victorious Friday night with easy wins against Cheyenne Central. The Broncs won at home 64-39 and the Lady Broncs got their win on the road 78-61. Both teams will tangle with Cheyenne East today, the Broncs at 11:45 at Sheridan High School and the Lady Broncs at East at 1:30. Both games can be heard live on AM 1410 KWYO.
