MORE FROM THE SHERIDAN BRONC SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP

BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan Broncs won the 2011 4-A Wyoming state soccer championship Saturday and the celebration lasted long after the game ended Saturday evening Head coach Kevin Riser really enjoyed his time with the players this season.

Big Horn senior Colby Wollenmen has played for the Bronc soccer team the last two years.

SHERIDAN BRONCS WIN 4-A STATE SOCCER TITLE

THE BRONC CELEBRATE THE 2011 STATE SOCCER TITLE

4-A STATE SOCCER CHAMPIONS - The Sheridan Broncs are the 2011 4-A Wyoming state soccer champions they beat Laramie 2-1 in the title game Saturday at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.

Laramie scored the games 1st goal in the opening minutes of the game but the Broncs would answer back scoring twice in the span of three minutes late in the first half to grab the lead.

Junior Hunter Reece got the go ahead and game winning goal in the 31st minute as both teams went scoreless in the second half.

Bison Soccer: Boys Second, Girls Third

The Bison soccer teams wrapped up their soccer seasons this past weekend, with the boys finishing second and the girls third at the state tournament.
The boys started with a win Thursday over Powell 8-0, then beat Lander 2-0 Friday, which set up the championship with Cody Saturday. The Bison fell in a tough-fought 2-1 loss to the Broncs to finish second at state.

Broncs To Play for State Soccer Title

The State High School Soccer Tournament continues at the Big Horn Equestrian Center. The Sheridan Broncs advanced to the 4A State Championship game with a 1-0 win over Riverton Friday.

May 20th

Bison Boys Advance to Title Game, Girls Fall

The Bison boys' soccer team will advance to the title game Saturday after handing the Lander Tigers a 2-0 defeat on Friday.
Buffalo will take on the Cody Broncs for the 3A Championship Saturday at noon.
The Bison girls came up short in their quest for a state title, falling to Jackson 4-2 on Friday.
Buffalo's girls will take on Cody for the third-place trophy Saturday at 11am.
The track and field state meet continues Saturday in Casper.

BRONC SOCCER ADVANCES AT STATE / STATE TRACK RESULTS

STATE SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Bronc soccer team will opened the state soccer tournament yesterday with a victory over Rock Springs.

The Broncs scored early and went onto shut out the Tigers 3-0 and advance to the semi-finals today.

Head coach Kevin Riser wanted a quick scoring strike and they got it from Colby Wollenman six minutes into the game.

STATE SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Bronc soccer team will open the state soccer tournament today against Rock Springs at the Big Horn Equestrian center at 11:30.

It will be the first time the two teams have seen each other this year as Bronc's Head coach Kevin Riser talks about today opponent.

And Riser says all they've been talking to the team about is making sure they get off to fast starts over the next three days.

Bison Athletes Head to State This Week

Buffalo High School athletes will head to their State Meets this weekend, and will begin their quests for a title on Thursday.
The Bison Track and Field team will be at the State Meet in Casper Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Bison soccer teams will also get started on Thursday at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.
The girls will take on #4 from the Northwest, the Powell Lady Panthers with the game scheduled to begin at 2pm.
The boys will also take on the #4 Powell Panthers at 4pm.

BRONCS WIN REGIONAL GOLF / LADY BRONCS 5TH

Cameron Lindell took medalist honors in the east conference championship

BRONC AND LADY BRONC GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers finished up their spring season yesterday in Cheyenne.

The Broncs ended up running the table winning all their tournaments this spring and they kept their current winning streak intact with their 19 straight tournament win.

The Bronc's Cameron Lindell took the overall individual title winning in a three way playoff that included teammate Toby Nicholas.

Lindell shot 71-72 143, Nicholas ended up third, Kamrin Allen was 4th overall finishing one shot out of the playoff. Chris Cremer was 6th and Taylor Reed finished 9th.

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL HAS NEW SWIMMING AND GIRLS BASKETBALL COACHES

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL AD DON JULIAN

At last night’s Sheridan school district two board meeting they hired Brent Moore as the SHS new boys and girls head swim coach and Sean Yeager as our new Lady Bronc head basketball coach.

Sheridan high school Atheletic Director Don Julian says "I am very excited about these coaches they have great experience and I believe they will be excellent additions to our coaching staffs."
