WEEKEND LOCAL SPORTS WRAP UP

Rams win now 4-2

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs built up a nice lead in Laramie Friday night then survived a Plainsmen rally and took the game 35-19 to run their winning streak to five straight at 6-1 overall Head coach Don Julian.

Seniors Riley Ryan and Gabe Dahmke missed the game because of injury and Julian says that gave some others a chance to fill and they got the job done.

The Sheridan Broncs were in Laramie Friday night, and the No. 2 team in the state improved to 6-1 with a 35-19 road win over the Plainsmen. Up on Laramie early, Sheridan controlled the game on the ground as they have done all season. Bronc halfback Jordan Roberts again surpassed 200 yards on the ground with one rushing score Friday night.

October 6th

Bison Weekend Preview 10-7-11

The Buffalo Bison football team is now 3-2 on the season after beating the Riverton Wolverines last Friday 24-7.
Tonight the Bison, ranked #4 in 3A, will travel to Lander to take on the fifth-ranked Tigers, who are coming off a 45-7 loss to Douglas. Kickoff is set for 7pm in Lander.
The Lady Bison volleyball team will host their triangular on Saturday with Torrington and Worland.
Buffalo will play Torrington at 11:30am, Torington and Worland will play at 1pm and the Lady Bison will play Worland at 2:30.

BIG HORN CELEBRATES HOMECOMING TODAY / BRONC FOOTBALL AT LARAMIE

FOOTBALL - We have a live high school football double header for you today starting in Big Horn this afternoon. the Rams host Moorcroft in their Homecoming game.

The game will kickoff at 1:00 and will be broadcast live for you on 14-10 KWYO Ron Richter and Ben Chalker will have the play by play.

The Sheridan Broncs will play at Laramie tonight we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM the broadcast will start at 6:30 with the pregame show presented by First Federal, kickoff is at 7:00.

BRONCS READY FOR TRIP TO LARAMIE FOR ANOTHER BIG 4-A MATCH UP FRIDAY

FOOTBALL - In local football action we will broadcast a live double header Friday starting in Big Horn with the Rams hosting Moorcroft.

The game will kickoff at 1:00 and will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO Ron Richter and Ben Chalker will have the play by play.

The Sheridan Broncs will play at Laramie Friday night we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM starting at 6:30 with the First Federal pregame show kickoff is at 7:00.

Bison Host Cross Country Meet Today

The Bison Cross Country Team will host their Buffalo Invite today at Buffalo High School.
The junior high girls begin at 3pm, boys at 3:30 and the high school girls will start at 4, boys at 4:30.
On Friday the Bison football team will take their #4 ranking into Lander to take on the fifth-ranked Tigers. Kickoff is set for 7pm in Lander.
On Saturday the varsity volleyball team will host a triangular eith Worland and Torrington.
Buffalo will play Torrington at 11:30am, Torington and Worland will play at 1pm and the Lady Bison will play Worland at 2:30.

October 4th

SC RODEO

Jake Mangis a sophomore won the long round in the team roping with partner Corbin Nichols from CWC, they had a time of 6.8, they roped their steer fast in the short round, but Jake only managed to snag a leg which added a 5 second penalty to their time of 6.2 making it a 11.2 on 2 which placed them 5th in the short round and 5th in the average.

Matt Schieck a sophomore with his brother Brad Schieck from UW placed third in the long round in the team roping with a time of 7.3, they drew a good steer in the short round but Brad was unable to catch him, so they placed 7th in the average.

SHS X-COUNTRY OFF AND RUNNING TO MONTANA

X-COUNTRY - The Sheridan high school cross country teams close out their regular season tomorrow at a meet in Helena, Montana.

Head coach Art Bauers has a young and talented group of runners on both teams this fall and he says with the season coming to close in three weeks a sense of urgency has taken over the runners.

And he says the young Bronc and Lady Bronc runners have done a good job this fall of staying competitive.
