GENERALS / LADY GENERALS AND COWGIRLS POST CONFERENCE VICTORIES

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals swept games from Casper college Wednesday night

The Lady Generals won 62-50 after trailing 29-28 at halftime.

They used tough defense and rebounding to pull away from the T-birds midway through the 2nd half freshmen Milo Milo Nanai from Wellington, New Zealand led the scoring with 15 points with a dozen coming in the second half .

Weekend HS Sports Preview For Buffalo and Kaycee

This weekend will have all of the high school sports teams from Buffalo and Kaycee in action.

The Bison boys' basketball team will be on the road Friday for their only game of the weekend. The Bison, 9-4, will take on the Bearcats at Douglas.

Former Sheridan Trooper baseball play Isaac Carel who is playing Junior college baseball at McCook,Nebraska gave a verbal commitment last week to play next year for Division 1 University of Tennessee Martin of the Ohio Valley Conference.

SC BASKETBALL LIVE TONIGHT / COWGIRLS HOST UNLV

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals play at home tonight against Casper college.

Generals Head coach Steve Smiley says tonight's match-up with the T-birds has the makings of a great basketball game.

And he says the women's game should be a great game as well so fans will really get a treat tonight at the Dome.

We will broadcast both games live for you on 87.7 FM ESPN radio the Lady Generals tip at 5:30 and the men go at 7:30.

MWC Announces New Football and Basketball Scheduling Structures

DENVER, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference today made several announcements prompted by the new 12-team football alignment and 11-institution configuration in all other sports beginning with the 2013-14 academic year.

The league’s directors of athletics formed two football divisions based upon common geographic regions and traditional rivalries, while also creating the first Mountain West football championship game.

The Sheridan Ice Team place 2nd! Their best finish at this event to date.

Individual results are as follows:

Katelyn Kayser - competed in four FS4 events, earning 2 second place and 2 third place medals

Maggie Pierce - competed in two FS4 events, earning 2 first place

Elizabeth Winnop - competed in four FS3 events, earning 2 first place and 2 second place

Catherine Winnop -competed in four FS3 events earning 1 first place and 3 second place

Molly Butler - competed in four FS1 events, earning 2 first place, 1 second place and 1 fourth place

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS WEDNESDAY VS CASPER / SC INTRODUCES SOCCER THIS FALL

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals play at home Wednesday night against Casper college.

The Generals are tied with Casper for the conference lead mid-way through the conference schedule. Generals Head coach Steve Smiley says anytime the generals and T-Birds get together it's a great night not only for the teams but fans as well.

and he says the generals are playing well right now and are looking forward to the challenge of facing a very good Casper club.

WEEKEND LOCAL SPORTS WRAP UP

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball opened conference play the Lady Broncs swept victories at home over Cheyenne South and Laramie to run their record to 13-1 overall.

This week they will play on the road at Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East both games will broadcast live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio Friday night at 7:30 and Saturday at 1:30.

The Broncs beat Cheyenne South 58-56 Friday and fell at Laramie 66-44 on Saturday.

Johnson County HS Sports Wrap For January 21

High School sports teams in Johnson County were busy again this weekend with all teams in action.

The Bison boys' basketball team went 1-1 over the weekend, beating Newcastle 49-28 Thursday, and losing to Torrington 48-42 on Saturday.
