Bison Golfers Start Season, Soccer Teams Win

The Bison Golf Team opened their 2011 season at the Worland Spring Invitational this weekend.
The boys' team finished eighth out of 11 teams and had no individual scores in the top 10.

April 9th

Lady Broncs Soccer team shutsout Laramie, while Broncs get shutout by the Plainsmen

The Sheridan Lady Broncs soccer team handed the Laramie Lady Plainsmen their first loss of the season Friday at Home Scott Field in Sheridan. The Lady Broncs didn't allow a goal, as they won by a final of 3-0. Lady Broncs Goalkeeper Jacey Repsis turned in a stellar performance, as she saved 11 shots in the game. The Lady Broncs will host Kelly Walsh today at noon.

The Broncs soccer team on the other hand weren't as fortunate, as they were shut out by Laramie on the road 2-0. The Broncs will look to rebound on the road at Casper Kelly Walsh this morning at 11 o'clock.

April 8th

Bison Weekend Preview

Ther Bison boys' and girls' soccer teams will be back in action this weekend after playing Sheridan Tuesday night at home.
The boys played Sheridan to a 1-1 tie while the girls fell to the Lady Broncs 3-0.
Both teams retained their #1 rankings in 3A this week.

April 7th

SHERIDAN BRONC FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL HONORS

BRONC FOOTBALL / BASKETBALL - Sheridan Bronc seniors Dawson Osborn and Raith Durham had good days yesterday.

Osborn made it official signing on to play football at Carroll college in Helena, Montana.

Sheridan college basketball coach Steve Smiley also announced yesterday the 2011 Wyoming high school all-star basketball team which includes Durham.

Osborn says it's great to be going to such a great program Carroll has won six national NAIA titles since 2002.

2011 MEN'S WYOMING ALL-STAR BASKETBALL TEAM

2011 WYOMING ALL-STARS - Sheridan College head men’s basketball coach Steve Smiley is pleased to announce the 2011 Wyoming All-Stars who will participate in the Annual Wyoming vs. Montana game on June 12th and 13th.

Leading this year’s squad will be the Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year Taran Brown from Campbell County High School. Taran is a 6’8” forward who led the Gillette Camels to a 4A state title this past March.

April 6th

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams had a good day Tuesday at a meet in Billings Head coach Art Bauers.

The best news coming out of the meet was they did have two athletes qualify for the state championships.

And since the indoor season began they are getting more consistent performances on both teams.

Sheridan College Volleyball Teams up with YMCA for Youth Volleyball Camp.

Members of the SC Volleyball Team Volunteered last week in a 3-day camp at the YMCA. Approximately 40 young ladies (9-12 year olds) participated in a Volleyball Skills Camp with the Lady Generals.

The girls enjoyed their time at the Y teaching basic volleyball skills (forearm passing, setting, approach footwork, hitting, and serving). It was nice to give back to our community with the game we love!!

April 5th

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER AND TRACK RESULTS

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams played non-conference matches at Buffalo last night the Lady Broncs beat Buffalo shutting out the Bison 3-0 in the boys game they played into overtime and the Broncs and Bison had to settle for a 1-All overtime tie.

Both goals in the boys game were scored in the first half the Broncs got their goal on a header from Colby Wollenme, Head coach Kevin Riser.

SOCCER / TRACK AND FIELD

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams play non-conference matches in Buffalo tonight.

Both the Bison and Lady Bison are ranked #1 in class 3-A while the Broncs and Lady Broncs are both ranked in the top five in 4-A this week.

The Broncs are off to a good start going 4-1, last year they started slow and came on strong and finished second at the state championships.

Head coach Kevin Riser says they wanted to make sure they started strong this year and the players have done a good job in the first three weeks of the season.
