SOCCER / TRACK / GOLF / BASEBALL

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams played Laramie Friday night.

The Broncs avenged a loss to the Plainsmen from three weeks ago by beating them in overtime 2-1, the broncs play at Cheyenne South today.

The Lady Broncs lost their first match of the season last night as Laramie took the win 1-0.

The Lady Bronc match today with Cheyenne south the game will be played out at Big Horn high school.

SHS TRACK AND FIELD - The "Dan Hansen"Memorial track invitational takes place today at Sheridan high school.

April 20th

Bison, Lady Bison On The Road At Rawlins Today

The Buffalo boys' and girls' soccer teams will be in Rawlins today to take on the Outlaws and Lady Outlaws. Games are scheduled at 3pm for the girls, 5pm for the boys.
These are the only games for the teams this weekend, with their next games scheduled against Worland on Tuesday.

The boys slipped a notch in this week's Wyopreps soccer poll and now sit at #2 behind Jackson, while the girls move up at #2 behind top-ranked Cody.

The boys' record is 8-0-2 and the girls are at .500 with 5 wins and 5 losses.

THE LOCAL SPORTS WEEKEND PREVIEW

TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams host the"Dan Hansen"Memorial track invitational tomorrow events will get underway at 10:00.

SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams play Laramie tonight and Cheyenne South tomorrow. The Broncs travel the Lady Broncs are home matches today are at 4:00 and 6:00.

The Lady Bronc match tomorrow with south will be played out at Big Horn high school JV's at 10:00 and the varsity at noon.

GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers tee it up at their next tournament today in Douglas.

SC VOLLEYBALL PLAYER COMMITS

Lady General’s sophomore Reyna Acosta has decided to continue her education and volleyball career next season at Western New Mexico University.

Reyna a 5’4 Libero/Defensive Specialist from Pearl City, Hawaii spent last two seasons with the Generals as tremendous asset to the program. As a freshman Reyna had70 service aces and 315 digs at 2.69 digs per game.

GENERALS PLAYER SIGNS

Wayne Bradford

Sheridan College freshman guard Wayne Bradford has signed a national letter of to play for Weber State University. Bradford averaged 11.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists for the Generals this past season, helping them to a record of 25-7.

Bradford led the nation in free throw percentage this past season, shooting an outstanding 90.7% from the charity stripe. A highly efficient shooter, Bradford also shot 48.8% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc.

Buffalo And Kaycee Teams Preparing For Competition

Buffalo and Kaycee High School teams will be in action this weekend, but the Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams already have games under their belts this week.

Monday the boys hosted Kelly Walsh and played to a 1-1 tie. The boys are now 8-0-2 on the season.

The Lady Bison played at Kelly Walsh Monday, losing the game 3-1. Their record is now 5-5.

Both teams will travel to Rawlins on Friday to take on the Outlaws and Lady Outlaws with games scheduled at 3 for the girls, 5 for the boys.

THE SHERIDAN BRONCS HAVE THEIR NEXT HEAD BASKETBALL COACH

BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Bronc basketball program has a new Head coach as Bronc assistant Gale Smith takes over for Mike Ibach who resigned last month.

Smith has been a teacher and coach in District two for the last 17 years and was an assistant coach under Ibach for the last six we sat down yesterday at Sheridan high to visit with the new Head coach.

Since Smith has been in the program for the last six seasons he says it will be a smooth transition for the returning players.

TRACK AND FIELD / COWBOY JOE / TROOPER BASEBALL COLLEGE SIGNEE

TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams hosted the "Gary Benson" Memorial Border War track meet yesterday. The Broncs Micheal Rotellini won two events with winning times in the 800 and 1600 meters.

Saturday Sheridan high school hosts the annual "Dan Hansen" track invitational events will get underway at 10:00.

SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams have more conference action this week. The Broncs play in Laramie and Cheyenne South while the Lady Broncs host the Plainsmen and Bison.
