KENDRICK GOLF COURSE - Today we continue our conversation with Kendrick golf course Professional Brian James.

Now that the golf season is in full swing Kendrick offers not only 18 holes of golf but very good facilities to go along with it including the practice areas, James says one area isn't used to it's fullest.

And he says that chipping area is where players can really improve their game.

LOCAL GOLF / BASEBALL / UW VOLLEYBALL INFRACTIONS

KENDRICK GOLF COURSE - Area golf courses have had a roller coaster ride with the weather this spring we stopped by Kendrick golf course to visit with golf professional Brian James.

James says spring weather plays a huge role in a successful golf season and says this year it's been tough the golfers have made the best of it.

During last week's hail storm two greens on the front nine took a direct hit and sustained a lot of damage but James says the grounds crew got right on the problem and they have come back strong.

TROOPERS DROP FINALE IN OMAHA / JETS IN ACTION TONIGHT

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers dropped their final game of a tournament in Omaha, Nebraska Monday in a 9-4 loss against a team from Omaha.

The Troops now stand at 9-11 overall and still sport a 2-0 conference record. They play their next games Thursday night against the Billings Halos.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets play at home tonight as they host a double header with Casper the first game is scheduled to start at 5:00.

GENERALS WRAP UP SIGNINGS FOR 2013-14 BASKETBALL SEASON

The Sheridan College Generals have added more depth to their back-court with the addition of Illinois standout, Preston Wells.

Wells, a 6’1 guard from Peoria Richwoods High School, averaged 15.7 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals a game this season while shooting 82% from the foul line and netting 74 3-point field goals on the season.

In his career at Richwoods, Wells drained 179 3’s, and scored over 1,000 points. For his on-court performance, Well received All-state IBCA and was twice voted first-team Mid-State in Illinois.

TROOPERS CONTINUE PLAY IN OMAHA / JETS DROP TWO SUNDAY

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 1-4 at a tournament in Omaha, Nebraska, they opened with a victory over Northglenn, Colorado but have three losses against two other Colorado teams and one from Nebraska.

Today they finish up play in Omaha with two games before coming home for their next home date which will be Thursday night against the Billings Halos.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets dropped two to the Billings Halos yesterday Head coach Ryan Murner says his young players are starting to get together but still have a ways to go.

SRD ADULT SOFTBALL / TROOPERS BASEBALL / BIG HORN WILD AND SCENIC

REC. DISTRICT ADULT SOFTBALL - The Sheridan Recreation District is two weeks into their adult summer softball season, weather has washed out several days but sports specialist Robbie Spencer says the teams have made the best of the situation and he appreciates everyone's understanding and they are using make up days to get caught up.

The league's both Co-rec and Men's are strong this year with the addition of several new teams.

TROOPERS IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA / WILD AND SCENIC TRAIL RUN OPENS FRIDAY / TWO WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL FB PLAYERS COMMIT TO COLLEGES

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are on their way to a tournament in Omaha, Nebraska they will play six games on the trip and will attend some of the College World Series action going on in Omaha at the same time.

The Troops will start play tomorrow with two games one against Lafayette, Colorado and the other will be against Creighton prep from Nebraska.

Saturday they have one game against Brighton, Colorado and Sunday they play Northglenn, Colorado and they will close out the tournament with a double header on Monday.

TROOPS RAINED OUT NOW HEAD TO OMAHA / JETS IN BILLINGS TODAY

Rain washes out the Troopers

TROOPER BASEBALL - - The Sheridan Troopers and Gillette Roughriders were rained out at Thorne-Rider stadium Tuesday night a make up date will be announced later.

Heading into last night's rain out the Troops were off for a week Head coach Ben Phillips says the rest has been good but they all really wanted to play last night.

So far the weather has not been kind to baseball in our part of the state and Phillips says they all must battle through the frustration of missing so many games.
