Friday Sports Recap

The Sheridan Bronc Basketball team ripped Cheyenne South Friday night at home, jumping out early and winning 77-34 in their first conference match-up of the season. They host Laramie today at 1:30, we'll have that game for you live on AM 1410 KWYO.

January 20th

Sheridan Lady Broncs Vs. Cheyenne South

The Sheridan Lady Broncs beat Cheyenne South 63 to 33.

1st Quarter: Broncs lead Cheyenne South 20 to 4.

2nd Quarter: Broncs lead Cheyenne South 52 to 16.

3rd Quarter: Broncs lead Cheyenne South 70 to 22.

4th Quarter: Broncs lead Cheyenne South 77 to 34.

A GREAT SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS THE SPORTS WEEKEND

SHS HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams open up conference play tonight the Lady Broncs will play at Cheyenne South and Laramie tomorrow while the Broncs will play at home.

We will broadcast all four games live, tonight they tip off at 7:30 the Lady Broncs on 95.9 FM and the Broncs on KWYO, tomorrow both tip at 1:30 the girls on 95.9 and the boys on KWYO.

Cheyenne South is in their first year in 4-A sports Broncs Head coach Mike Ibach says they don't want to get caught looking past South and looking ahead to playing Laramie tomorrow.

Bison Wrestlers, Swimmers Host Meets This Weekend

Johnson County's high school athletes have another busy weekend scheduled, and two BHS teams will be hosting meets Friday and Saturday.
The BHS Swim team will host their Buffalo Quad Friday at the Johnson County YMCA. That meet starts at 4pm. They will then travel to the Worland Invite on Saturday.
The Bison Wrestlers will host their meet Friday and Saturday at BHS.

January 19th

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS SWEEP VICTORIES

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals swept games from Dawson community college Wednesday night.

The Lady Generals blew out the Bucs 75-42 to run their current winning streak to eight in a row.

Head coach Frank McCarthy says they had a good defensive game. And the players looked for each other and it was a total team win.

Next up is a road game at Miles City, Montana and McCarthy says they are in for a good challenge this weekend.

Bison Swimmers First at Rawlins Quad

Buffalo High School's boys' swim team was in Rawlins and Cheyenne last weekend, winning the Rawlins meet and finishing in the top tier of mostly 4A schools in Cheyenne.
At Rawlins on Friday, the Bison got first place finishes from the 400 free relay team of Josh Cohoon, Josh Dillinger, Neil Medders and Nate Holt; the 200 medley relay team of Holt, Wyatt Zegstroo, Tim Cohoon and Matt Scarlett; and the 200 free relay team of Medders, Scarlett, and Josh and Tim Cohoon.

January 18th

SHERIDAN COLLEGE / WYOMING COWBOYS BASKETBALL LIVE TONIGHT

SC HOOPS - The Generals and Lady Generals host more conference action tonight against Dawson Community college. Game times are at 5:30 and 7:30 both games will be broadcast live on our sister station 95.9 FM.

The Lady Generals have won seven in a row and remain unbeaten in conference play.

The Generals have ended a two game losing streak and won their last two including Saturday's road win at 9th ranked Western Wyoming.

SHERIDAN RAMPAGE WIN HOOPS TITLE

The Sheridan Rampage won the 6th grade boys division of the Trailhead Classic Basketball Tournament in Billings last weekend.

They defeated the Laurel Predators in the championship game 56-19.

BRONC / LADY BRONC INDOOR TRACK OFF AND RUNNING

SHS Head track coach Art Bauers

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams opened the 2012 indoor season last Friday in Spearfish, South Dakota.

Head coach Art Bauers says it was a good opener for both teams.

Now they get back into action this week with a little direction and get ready for a large meet in Gillette Saturday.
