Weekend HS Sports Wrap For Jo Co 09 16 13

Another busy high school sports weekend is in the books, and most teams from Johnson County had a tough time in competition.
The Buffalo Bison football team dropped their home opener to Powell 45-6 Friday night and now sit at 0-2 on the season. Next up is the Wolves at Green River this Friday night.

Bulldogs High Powered Offense Too Much for Eagles

The Tongue River Eagles were no match for the high powered offense of the Wheatland Bulldogs Friday afternoon in Dayton. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there for the game and has this report.

Broncs Final Score: Sheridan 35 - Evanston 14

Rams Final Score: Big Horn 50 - Newcastle 43

Tongue River Final Score: - Wheatland 36 - Tongue River 6

Tongue River falls to Wheatland 36 to 6

Wheatland took the victory in today's game against the Tongue River Eagle's football team with a final score of 36 to 6.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs play Evanston tonight we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO the First Federal pregame show will start at 6:30.

head coach Don Julian talks about the broncs keys to success tonight. And he says they need to cleanup a few things offensively and with special teams.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles host the Wheatland Bulldogs this afternoon Sheridan Media's Ron Richter gives us a preview.

Johnson County High School Sports Weekend Preview

The Buffalo Bison football team will be looking to rebound this week from their 34-22 loss last week to Worland as they host the Powell Panthers tonight at the Bison Bowl.
Kickoff is set for 7pm.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL / POKES AT HOME / "MANNING BOWL" SUNDAY

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs play Evanston this week. We will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO the First Federal pregame show will start at 6:30.

The trip tomorrow is the longest road trip of the season and Julian says the players and coaches need to be on their toes and make sure they are ready to play.

The Broncs are 2-0 heading into the game and Julian says this trip comes at a good time of the season.

SHS TENNIS PLENTY OF COURT TIME THIS WEEK / REST OF THIS WEEK'S LOCAL SPORTS SCHEDULE

BRONC / LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams will play conference matches on the road Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Head coach Bob Faurot talks about the team's progress three weeks into the season.

And he says all the players will get a good test this week with five matches in three days.

And with so many younger players on the team this year he says they are picking up the game pretty good as they move through the season.
