SHS, TR AND BH FOOTBALL ALL AT HOME TODAY

The Big Horn Rams will lead off our live football triple header this afternoon when they host Wright kickoff is set for 1:00 on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.

Rams Head coach Micheal McGuire says the Panthers have a good team and they expect a good battle today.

The Tongue River Eagles go after their first win of the year today when they host Moorcroft Sheridan Media's Ron Richter will have the play by play for you at 4:00.

The Bronc football team takes on Rock Springs tonight, the Broncs are 4-0 and Tigers are 0-4.

Johnson County HS Sports Preview for September 27th

Another busy weekend for Buffalo and Kaycee High School athletes will get underway today as all fall sports teams will be in action.

The Buffalo Bison football team will be looking for their first win of the season as they host the Douglas Bearcats. Kickoff is set for 7pm tonight at Bison Stadium.

The Tongue River Eagles football team are back home after last week's trip to Glenrock. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has a preview of today's game in Dayton.

HELTON HOMERS IN COORS FINALE, BOSOX TOP ROCKIES

DENVER (AP) - Todd Helton homered, doubled and drove in three runs in his final game at Coors Field, but the Boston Red Sox used Will Middlebrooks' two homers and career-high seven RBIs to beat the Colorado Rockies 15-5 Wednesday night.
 
Helton also had a sacrifice fly in his Colorado farewell. The first baseman is retiring at the end of his 17th season with the Rockies.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FEATURES HOME ACTION FRIDAY

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Bronc football team hosts their homecoming game with Rock Springs Friday night the Big Horn Rams and Tongue River Eagles are also home this week and we will broadcast all three games live.

We will start in Big Horn Friday at 1:00 with the Rams playing Wright at 1:00 on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.

The Rams are 2-1 coming off a 34-19 loss at Burns last Friday Head coach Micheal McGuire says that loss really stung.

LADY BRONC SWIMMERS SEASON OF SUCCESS CONTINUES / LIVE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TRIPLE HEADER FRIDAY

LADY BRONC SWIMMING - The Lady Bronc swimmers will spend the weekend at home, they host a meet Friday with Jackson and host the Sheridan invitational Saturday.

Head coach Brent Moore says the Lady Broncs are having a very good season.

He says the season is catching up with the girls are they have put in a lot of hard work over the last six weeks.

And he says state qualifying has gone very well and several girls are right on the bubble of making it into the state championships.

SC RODEO RESULTS

The Sheridan College rodeo teams traveled to Chadron Nebraska this past weekend.

The men’s team scored 405 points placing 4th. They were led by sophomore Zeke Thurston, who won the saddle bronc riding again this weekend.

He was 79 points winning the long round and scored 73 points in the short round splitting 1st and 2nd which placed him 1st in the average earning 175 team points.

He also placed 10th in the long round in the tie down roping with a 12.0 time, he tied his short round calf in 9.5 seconds placing 3rd in the short round and 5th in the average earning 60 team points.

WEEKEND LOCAL SPORTS WRAP UP

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Bronc football team beat #1 ranked Cheyenne East 42-21 Friday night Head coach Don Julian.

They set the tone of the game on the first play from scrimmage as Nick Gill went 80 yards for the Broncs first touchdown.

Julian says that play was designed just for Cheyenne East and they hit it.

Now they look ahead to this week's homecoming game with Rock Springs.

Johnson County HS Sports Wrap For 09 23 13

High school athletes at Buffalo and Kaycee High Schools had a full weekend of competition, with some teams faring well, others are still struggling so far this young fall season.

The Tongue River Eagles football team took to the road for the first time this season with a game Friday night in Glenrock. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has this report.
