Bronc / Lady Bronc soccer open 2015 tomorrow / Track at Buffalo / Golf, Tennis and Baseball all begin Monday

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open the season tomorrow with games against Riverton the Broncs will play at home JV's at 4:00 varsity at 6:00 the lady Broncs will play in Riverton

Saturday both programs will play at a jamboree in Gillette, the Lady Broncs will play their home opener next week on Thursday when they join the Broncs hosting games against Gillette.

TRACK / FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams will compete at the Buffalo invitational tomorrow next week they will step up in competition and compete at a meet in Gillette on Thursday.

Bronc soccer looking to make another run this spring / The full spring sports schedule gets rolling Monday

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open the season Friday with games against Riverton the Broncs will play at home JV's at 4:00 varsity at 6:00.

Long time Bronc assistant coach Matt Johnson takes over this spring as the Broncs Head coach, Johnson talks about the coaching transition and says it's gone very well.

In 2007 Kevin Riser took over the Bronc program with Johnson as the JV coach and they were able to turn the Broncs around and make it into a state championship caliber program.

Sheridan College Kicks Off Spring Rodeo Season in Gillette

The first college rodeo of the spring season was held in Gillette on March 20th-22nd.

The Generals didn’t quite have the start of the spring season that they were looking for. Among the team, there were four athletes who made it back to Sunday’s championship round.

For the women’s team, Katy Miller put together a quick run in the goat tying with a time of 7.8 which split 3/4/5 place in the long go. Miller had some tough luck in the short go as the goat kicked free which gave her a no time.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams opened the springs sports season this past weekend, the Lady Broncs were 4th the Broncs were 7th at the Casper invitational.

Head coach Art Baures says they were a little short handed with spring break beginning but the numbers for the spring season are nearing 90 athletes.

And he says the Casper invite was a good event to start the season.

Cowboy hoops finish 25-10 / Weekend Track and Field results / Bronc / Lady Bronc soccer open Friday

UW / NCAA BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys basketball season ended with a loss to Northern Iowa in the NCAA tournament.

The Pokes got within nine points with seven minutes remaining, but the Panthers (31-3) closed the game on a 14-6 run to earn a 71-54 win over the Cowboys (25-10) in the second round on Friday in Seattle.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams competed at an invitational in Casper over the weekend, the Lady Broncs were 4th the Broncs were 7th.

Pokes open March Madness / Spring track starts Saturday / Bronc post season hoop honors

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys open the NCAA basketball tournament this morning in Seattle.

They will play Northern Iowa we will have all the action live for you on KWYO and 87.7 FM, pregame will start at 11:00 with the tip at 11:40.

Let's hear from the Cowboys, first Poke Senior Charles Hankerson Jr.

We also heard this week from Head coach Larry Shyatt talking about perseverance.

Sheridan Troopers open Spring training March 30th / Outdoor track opens Saturday / SHS Soccer season a week away / Pokes open March Madness Friday morning

TROOPER BASEBALL - Sheridan American legion baseball held their annual player / parent meeting last night the first preseason practice will be Monday, March 30th.

Troopers Head coach Ben Phillips it's nice to be looking ahead to starting a new season.

This will be the second year the players can enjoy an indoor facility to workout and Phillips says that has taken care of poor spring weather and losing practice time.
