State Swimming and Diving / State Volleyball / Football Playoffs

STATE SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers met their team goal of a top three finish at the state swimming and diving championships over the weekend.

The 200 medley relay team set a new school record on their way to winning the state title all the team members were awarded with all state honors. Team members were Gretchen Dougherty, Emily Speigelberg, Payton Brilz and MacKenzie Dougherty.

Other all state performers included Emily Speigelberg state champion in the 100 Backstroke an event where she also set a new school record.

Lady Bison Swimmers Third At State

The Buffalo Lady Bison swimmers were at their State Meet last Thursday and Friday and although they finished third at State, had a number of State Champions and numerous top finishes.

Lady Rams play for the 2-A state voleyball title / Broncs and Rams advance in the football playoffs

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn lady Rams beat Lovell in the state volleyball tournament semi finals Friday night. They will play Kemmerer this evening for the 2-A state title.

FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS - The Big Horn football team dominated Lyman in their first round play off game Friday. The Rams built up a huge lead and won 52-14. The Rams play at Lovell in the semi finals next week.

The Sheridan Broncs beat Laramaie 33-0 and will host a 4-A football semi final game next Friday at 6:00 against Cheyenne East.

Rams Crush Lyman to Advance to Semi-Finals

The Big Horn Rams football team advanced to the semi-finals after crushing the Lyman Eagles 52-14 Friday afternoon in Big Horn. The Rams jumped out to a 21-0 lead early, before Lyman made things interesting late in the 2nd quarter.

After scoring to make it 21-8, Lyman picked off a Connor McCafferty pass near mid field. The Eagles then drove it deep inside Rams territory before Big Horn's defense stopped Lyman on a 4th and short. Rams Head Coach Michael McGuire talks about the importance of keeping Lyman out of the endzone at the end of the first half.

Former Bronc Gabe Dahmke receives academic all-conferene honors at South Dakota school of mines

PORTLAND, Ore. – South Dakota School of Mines sophomore soccer player Gabe Dahmke was the lone Hardrocker to earn Great Northwest Athletic Conference Soccer Academic All-Conference honors announced Wednesday afternoon.

Dahmke is a 6-foot-1-inch defender for the Hardrocker soccer program currently in its second year of existence. The Sheridan, Wyo., native also becomes the first ever South Dakota School of Mines scholar-athlete to earn a conference honor at the NCAA Div. II level.

State Volleyball / Football Playoffs / College Hoops

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles and Big Horn Lady Rams opened the state volleyball championships in Casper yesterday.

The Lady Rams were pushed to the limit by Wind River but survived taking the 5th and deciding game 15-8 they will play Lovell in the semi finals this evening.

The Lady Eagles lost in three games to Kemmerer and fell into the consolation bracket and will play an elimination match with Wright.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams host Lyman this afternoon kickoff is at 2:00 Ron Richter has a preview.

Rams to Open Postseason at Home

The Big Horn Rams will open their postseason this afternoon at home in Big Horn. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has a preview of the game.

SC Generals basketball team ranked in the NJCAA preseason basketball top 25

The National Junior college athletic association has released it's Men's basketball preseason top 25 poll.

The Sheridan college Generals are ranked 21st in the first poll of the year.

The Generals and Lady Generals host a tournament tomorrow and Saturday at the Hoffman dome.

State football playoffs tomorrow / State volleyball / swimming and diving / college hoops

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS - The Big Horn Rams host Lyman tomorrow afternoon, the game is scheduled to kickoff at 2:00 Ron Richter will have the play by play for you on KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

Rams Head coach Micheal McGuire says as they head into the playoffs the Rams can look back with pride on their regular season.

Last year the Rams season ended with a devastating loss in the semi finals and McGuire says that memory is still fresh in the minds of the players and coaches.
