November 15th

Rams Dominate in Championship Game

The Big Horn Rams football team won the class 2A state championship Friday, defeating Mountain View 47-22. The win gives Big Horn their fourth state championship. Mountain View jumped out to a 6-0 lead after opening the game with an 80 yard drive that took nearly the entire first quarter off of the clock.

Big Horn vs Mountain View for the 2-A football title today

RAMS FOOTBALL - It's game day for the Big Horn Rams as they take on Mountain View for the 2-A state championship.

You can hear all the action live today on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM starting with the First Federal savings bank pregame show at 11:35 kickoff is at noon.

Head coach Micheal McGuire says playing the title game in Laramie won't effect the Rams at all they been tested several times away from home this season and he says the Rams travel well.

Big Horn prepares for state football experience at War Memorial stadium

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams state title game with Mountain View is a day away as we continue our preview with Rams Head coach Micheal McGuire.

McGuire won a state title as the coach at Riverside but that was back in the day of host sites this will be his first trip back to War Memorial stadium as a Head coach.

And McGuire says the atmosphere inside the stadium gives the players a tremendous experience.

Rams state title game preview begins / Cowgirls win, Pokes play tonight

BIG HORN FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams play Mountain View for the 2-A football championship Friday, the title game will kick off at noon.

We will have it for you live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM starting with the First Federal Savings bank pregame show at 11:30.

The Rams are 9-1 heading into the game, Head coach Micheal McGuire says coming into the season the coaches knew this team had a good shot at making it to Laramie.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE HOOPS - The Sheridan college Lady Generals are 4-1 on the season they split games against Gillette and Casper over this past weekend.

Head coach Frank McCarthy says they had the Air Force Academy cancel their tournament in Colorado Springs so they got together with Gillette and Casper and it was good to see to really good teams early in the season.

And he says five games into the season the team is starting to come together

Black Mountain Nordic club hosts fall meeting

The Black Mountain Nordic club is having their fall meeting Tuesday evening at the Fulmer Room (upstairs) at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library at 5:30pm.

All our officers and board members serve two year terms and our terms expire this fall.

They will be selecting or renewing those positions at the meeting.Other than that it will be general business discussed.

Rams play for the 2-A state title / Broncs lose / Weekend basketball

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs were eliminated from the football playoffs in a 28-27 loss against Cheyenne East Friday after the loss Head coach Don Julian.

And he says it was tough to huddle up with this team for the last time after the game.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams are moving onto the 2-A state title game after beating Lovell 28-19 Friday night, Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the wrap up.

Rams Advance to Championship Game

The Big Horn Rams won on the road Friday night by beating the Lovell Bulldogs, earning a spot in the 2A championship game Friday in Laramie. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there for the game and has the recap.

Pokes/Cowgirls post victories/ Wyoming football faces 16th ranked Fresno state

The Wyoming basketball Cowboys beat Tennessee-Martin 78-60 Friday night.

The Cowgirls beat Montana state Northern 71-57 Friday night in Sheridan to open their regular season.

Kaitlyn Mileto led the way with 22 points, Kayla Woodward had 15 and Fallon Lewis 13.

The football Cowboys play at home tonight against 16th ranked Fresno state. You can hear the game live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM kickoff is at 8:15.
