The Coca-Cola Cup held Sunday July 21, 3:00 p.m. at the Big Horn Equestrian Center:

SHERIDAN BABE RUTH BASEBALL STATE CHAMPS

The Sheridan Babe Ruth 14 Year Old Team defeated the Casper Griz on Saturday morning 10-4, to win the Wyoming State 14 Division Babe Ruth Tournament. They are now 2 time Babe Ruth State Champions, having won the 13 year old division last year.

The team is Coached by Mike McCafferty and Mike Boint. Special Thanks to Pinch Coaches Tom Mayer and Dan Godwin for this weeks state tournament.

LOCAL BASEBALL / NHSFR BULL RIDING CHAMP/ POST SEASON BASEBALL THIS WEEK

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers play a double header in Laramie tonight, then back to back conference games in Cheyenne tomorrow and back home to face Casper Wednesday night at Thorne-Rider stadium .

The Troops are 2-1 in conference play, the conference records will seed the teams for the state tournament.

The Troopers have been off for a week and they seen each opponent with the exception of Casper they've played Laramie three times in their last five games and took two out of three from the Rangers Head coach Ben Phillips.

ARVADA BULL RIDER WINS HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL TITLE

Bryce Burnell of Arvada took the National High School Finals Bull Riding Championship over the weekend as the 2013 Finals wrapped up in Rock Springs.

SHERIDAN LITTLE LEAGUE DISTRICT CHAMPS

The Sheridan Little League All-Stars 11-12 Year Old (Majors) won the Wyoming District 2 Championship on Friday by beating the Laramie All-Stars 5-1.

They now move on to the Little League State Tournament in Laramie Wednesday through Saturday.

On the way to the District Title, the All-Stars beat Newcastle 11-9, Gillette 10-6, Torrington 10-8 and then Laramie.

PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SCRIMMAGES TOMORROW / ROCKIES OPEN 2ND HALF TONIGHT

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc youth football camp finishes up to night at Homer Scott stadium.

The camp this week also has been featuring evening sessions for high school players the week will culminate with a day of scrimmages tomorrow.

Five teams will be going through seven on seven drills starting at 10:00 and will also go for a while in the afternoon and the public is invited to attend the scrimmages.

BRONC FOOTBALL CAMP OPENS / TROOPER BASEBALL / ROCKIES OPEN 2ND HALF TOMORROW

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football youth football camp opened last night at Homer Scott stadium.

Broncs Head coach Don Julian says it's important for the program to have outreach to the communities young kids interested in playing football no matter their grade or age.

The camp this week also includes evening sessions for high school players the week will culminate with a day of scrimmages on Saturday and the public is invited to attend the sessions Saturday.

BRONC YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP OPENS TONIGHT

BRONC YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP - The Sheridan Bronc football coaching staff will be holding their Bronc youth and player camp for the next three evenings.

The "Young Broncs" K-8th grade will be the first session tonight between 5:00 and 6:00 Head coach Don Julian says they start taking registration at 4:30 at Homer Scott stadium.

And he says the young kids will get a lot packed in over the next three nights.

TROOPERS SWEEP LARAMIE / BRONC YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP OPENS TOMORROW

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers swept a double header from Laramie Monday night.

The Troopers won the first game 6-3, Kyle Atkinson threw a compete game four hitter at the Rangers, Troops Head coach Ben Phillips says it was just the performance they needed.

The Troopers led 2-0 but a couple errors in the 5th inning got Laramie a 3-2 lead but in the bottom of the 5th with two outs Connor Mcafferty saved the day wit a big solo home run to tie the game and take the pressure off Atkinson.
